College Hill Children'S Center

We have had such a wonderful experience with this academy over the years. Our oldest son attended from infancy through Pre-K before transitioning to grade school, and our youngest—who is now turning 4—also started here as an infant. At one point, we tried a different school for a year simply because our older son was starting kindergarten elsewhere, and we quickly realized how much we missed this academy. We truly regretted leaving. When we returned with our youngest, we were blown away by the warmth and kindness. The Administrative Staff and Teachers he hadn’t seen or even have in the past year or two went out of their way to step out of their classrooms just to welcome him back. He felt extra special that day and was full of smiles. That level of care and connection speaks volumes! Both of our boys have had positive, nurturing experiences at this academy, and always have good things to say when asked about their days spent here. It feels like a true community rather than just a daycare. This academy provides educational childcare that the children truly enjoy and it prepares them for grade school. They have very generous hours of operation, meals, snacks, and time outdoors. It is truly great. We are so happy to be back and incredibly grateful for the teachers and staff who make this place so special!

My son has been at Chesterbrook for 6 months and after a recent room transition not only is he thriving but developing at such a fast pace. My husband and I truly enjoy watching him grow and bring home all of his new learnings. We want to give a huge shoutout to Ms. Shayla and Ms. Ashlea for being incredibly thoughtful in their classroom, attentive and overall just happy being teachers. Everyday at drop off and pickup, it shows through our son’s actions and facial expressions that he is enjoying his time with his classmates and teachers. It is apparent that Shayla and Ashlea both enjoy their work in childcare and also are intentional about the environment they’ve created for their students. Our son is always doing a new activity and has even begun using some sign language as a result. We can’t say thank you enough. His transformation has truly been magical to witness. Lastly, thank you to the administration for hearing us and ensuring the students needs are always top priority.

Following up from my previous review, now that our child has been at CB for a year and completed a room transition. Our child’s transition from the infant room to the toddler room has been an incredibly positive experience, thanks to the dedication and care of the toddler teachers. Ms. Elisabeth is both nurturing and engaging, and we greatly appreciate the different crafts and curriculum-based activities our child has the opportunity to complete. Ms. Shawna and Ms. Lisa’s warm and consistent greetings make morning drop-offs smoother and more reassuring for our child. On the occasional days that don’t go as planned, we value the proactive communication through the app, which provides peace of mind and reinforces the supportive environment the teachers create. We are also grateful for the administration’s responsiveness and leadership which fosters a positive, caring atmosphere throughout CB.

We’ve had our two children at Chesterbrook for a year and a half and are very happy with the fit for our family. Staff are amazing- shout outs to Elizabeth, Shawna, T’onna, Kyra, Rachel, and Crystal in particular- and really help the kiddos settle in and feel comfortable. They genuinely feel like partners in how to best educate and prepare our kids for school and for life. Very nice that they offer Soccer Shots on site, and love the summer camp activities/seasonal fun that takes place. Tabbie and Victoria are great leaders too and stay in regular communication with families. Thank you Chesterbrook!

Staff is wonderful. Our kids’ teachers get to know each child personally. They are warm, approachable, and reassuring while providing a structured education. We love the convenience of having a daycare so close to our home, but more importantly we appreciate that the staff treats our kids as their own.
