I enjoyed our experience with Cobb Parks' summer art programs in the past, but I'm writing this for other parents. My daughter attended a water themed week at fair oaks rec center last summer, and one of those days included a trip to a local pool. I asked ahead of time if they had floaties or life jackets because my daughter couldn’t swim yet at that time. I was told they do provide them. Well, they don’t. My daughter went down the waterslide and sank to the bottom of the pool, then had to be pulled out by a life guard when they realized she couldn’t swim back up. The worst part is that none of the rec center staff told me this, only my daughter. Fast forward to present day, my daughter is completely terrified to learn to swim because of that experience and I don’t blame her. It’s also worth mentioning that one day during pickup, some staff were laughing about her “crying over” something and when I asked what it was, they ignored me. I guess they didn’t expect her mother to be standing right there when they decided to talk down on her. Do better, and don't work with kids if you can't handle it. The rec center summer camp programs are very affordable but in the end, you get what you pay for.
We rented TWO pavilions out here. They did not honor our reservation that we paid good money for. We had to share one with another party. The staff left early and refused to help us; they advised we call the police. Who wants to do that?! We will not be back
My vollyball club has been loyal to this recreation center by renting 1 court every Wednesday. We have donated thousands of dollars to support this center and its student activities. Under new management we have been discrimated against by not allowing us to continue to rent the center each week. We will be taking this matter to the local government as to why this Indian vollyball club is being treated unfairly when all we have done is support this center.
Very nice facility for recreation and events alike. They also have outdoor activities available with plenty of space for the family and friends alike. It is very clear and open with a clean look that appeals to the public eye.
