What Parents Say
This facility is a homeless services center, not a daycare. Reviews are mixed, with praise for compassionate staff members like Mallory G., Alamaria, and volunteers, but significant complaints about communication barriers, inconsistent service quality, and some staff rudeness toward clients in crisis.
Too many lies from staff and case managers, they're not organized at all.Is like one big giant circle of lies Nobody can't point you in the right way. They do not take life seriously at all or life situations seriously at all. You're just a number to them, so they quote could look good the next day, so they can keep getting donations, they're not helpful at all. They look at the phone, knowing they see people are calling to get good advice an, I don't think nobody wakes up and say, Hey, let me be homeless today. They need to hire more caring and loving people that like to do their job that want to help the community get out of homeless
I was up there at 6am and sat in the freezing cold, then sat in this room JUST to tell a lady HALF my story (going through aggravated assault with a deadly weapon) And then get told “I’m giving you a referral.” I was then pushed out of that room, And no other information was given to me other than to look at the size of the locker basically making me feel that I was staying there. I was so confused when another lady told everybody to get out of the room, Because once again, no other information was told to me other than I am referring you for shelter. What is the referral even for if all they do is tell you to go to a different place. Why did I have to spend my entire day there just to find out I needed to go to a different place. Not Only was I confused, I then asked what’s going on And what my next steps were and this rude lady, she was so rude. She should not be working in crisis as I have worked in healthcare for a very long time and know that people in crisis are already in crisis and don’t need to be shaking, leaving this place she said I don’t have time for this today and walked Away. First, I was told I’d be called the next day and then it came down to 30 minutes. The 30 minute call literally told me to go to one other place. This lady does not need to be working there and I think we’re all talking about the same one I’m going to find out her name and I’m going to report her. I know her face and it will not get out of my head. People that are already in crisis do not need to be told that they don’t have time for this when that’s literally their only job like get a different job. You need to be working at Walmart.
I’m a current resident at this shelter and I’ve had several issues with staff professionalism. One supervisor named Isabella has spoken to residents in a rude and dismissive way on multiple occasions. It makes the environment feel uncomfortable and unwelcoming. I hope management pays attention and provides better staff training and respect for residents. The shelter itself offers important help, but the staff attitude needs serious improvement.
This place sucks they sent our family away and didn’t Even give us any real help besides saying oh here’s a list of other places u can go! Ps. I hear from other people that they frequently turn away women and help men. Hidden agenda much?
It's horrible now, rude nasty staff, the place is ridiculously disgusting, mold everywhere such as the shower, dining room, the room, etc. They love favoritism in the shelter the staff got their own family members in there they treat better than non family members, a little girl was molested in there and nobody knew or thought to care about the situation, roaches everywhere even other weird bugs, bathrooms are trifling there's human residue such as (pee, poop) all over the floors, walls, even on top of the toilet. They like to threaten to kick you out just cause you argued with the staff family members, the food be 2-3 weeks old and spoiled. The family members and staff will gang up together and try to get you kicked out for doing the same things they do, such as they will have other people in their room when they're not supposed to, but when non family members do so it's an issue, but they never get in trouble for doing the same. That's why I said favoritism. The place is just horrible. Its also supposedly a drug free shelter but be having the men smoking weed and Molly, same goes for family members and nothing happens to them, they don't get in trouble or kicked out like they're supposed to. That place seriously needs to get checked out for inspection or something, cause it's some shady stuff going on, you'll also have the night staff hawk and stalk you down like you have no freedom. I had a staff stalked me so bad so followed me in the bathroom and watched me for like 10 minutes before leaving, it's so weird and gives creepy vibes.
