So I have to pick A Start for this to get posted , I would NOT Pick A STAR at ALL ,!! I'm my opinion this is important for parents to see and understand that please listen to your children and their moods !! My daughter attended Christ Lutheran daycare for about two months, and it was a very difficult experience for both of us. I constantly received calls to pick her up early — sometimes as late as 4:49 p.m. (they close at 5:30!) — telling me I had 15 minutes to get her because she was having a "rough day." They even started calling her emergency contacts when I couldn’t drop everything immediately. It got so bad that I was put on probation at work due to leaving early so often. I kept asking her main teacher what was going on. Her responses were cold, and there was so much anger in how she spoke. When I asked her to be kind to toy daughter ,I was dismissed and told my work schedule was the real problem — not them. But my child has been in several after-school programs and is used to a busy schedule. I knew something else was going on. Others even told me the teachers weren’t interacting with her, and my instincts kept telling me she wasn’t being cared for the way she needed. Fast forward to switching my daughter to another Daycare!! oh my goodness, what a BLESSING! After just one day, my child came home happy, well-fed, and excited. She read books with her new teacher, played kitchen and baby, had a great nap, and didn’t cry during drop-off or pick-up. And the biggest win — she went potty for them! I've been telling the previous daycare that she was potty trained, and they didn’t even try — they told me she had accidents and needed diapers, despite already having multiple extra outfits packed. I’m so incredibly thankful my Child is thriving and happy — and so am I. PLEASE listen to your children and trust how they act. If something feels wrong, it probably is. I’m beyond grateful we made the switch. Thank you, To the new daycare for living up to their name!!
This school was great when my oldest started, but its quality and level of care declined after I enrolled my youngest. The director is on a power trip—any time you address a concern or incident, it’s treated as a problem or in turn given stupid responses like “we have the cheapest rates” or “our teachers already have to do this.” The first red flag for me was when I dropped off my baby and noticed a small roach crawling around the bottles left in the room. I reported it to the assistant director, who said it would be addressed, but the fact that it happened at all suggests a lack of consistent attention to cleanliness. Most mornings, when I dropped off my oldest, the room had a musty smell, like old mop water. Worse, my baby was physically harmed by a teacher, and when I reported it to the director board(pastor etc) and state, I was told the teacher would be put on a 30-day probation and that no further action would be taken. How is it acceptable to keep a staff member who harmed a child? Are we really that desperate for teachers just because they’ve been there for seven years? No one who puts their hands on a child should be allowed to continue working in childcare. Another disturbing incident involved my child being picked up with a long red gash across their face and a bloody nose. There was no phone call, no incident report until I complained about it. I was left confused and worried, especially when my 4-year-old couldn’t even explain what happened, despite multiple adults being present. When I raised this with the director, I was told to find other childcare options and that I can’t expect someone to reach out every time my child is hurt (my child was hurt twice—I can’t imagine how much work that is to notify someone). Then the nerve to imply that I’m making things up! I’m not going to report you, a school, to the state if I don’t have facts and photos. This is beyond frustrating—parents are paying for care, but the director’s expectations are clearly very low. In a personal conversation with the director, I was told that the staff are "scared" to be around my children, which sounds like a personal issue if the director was actually doing their job. The focus should be on providing safe, quality care, not taking things personally because the staff lacks the competence to do their jobs properly. There are a few other interactions and things I’ve noticed that rubbed me the wrong way, but I’m not gonna write an article essay on here. Given all the aforementioned, I would steer clear of this school.
good day care, great teachers.
