Childtime Learning Center

My daughter attended this location for 2 school years, preschool and pre-k, the first year went fairly well as her class was led by a strong teacher, by the second year things began to change quite rapidly in a very concerning direction. A few teachers were let go, leaving the school understaffed and I had come on board as a teacher. I quickly learned just how overextended and underpaid the teaching staff was, leading to a very high turnover rate and under qualified teachers mostly comprised of women 18-21 who have had some experience babysitting at best. Many children simply could not get the attention or care the facility promised and charged for consequentially. After doing my best for months to fill in those gaps in care, I noticed my daughter continue to do worse academically and emotionally. Finally I was allowed to teach her class, which had a daily rotation of teachers and was no where near prepared for kindergarten. Unfortunately, the damage was irreversible, children were completely running the room. Once again, I was put in charge of 2 classes, well over ratio (pre-k and summer campers, mostly middle school age) and once nap time had come, all hell broke loose. This was our last day as the corporate had no issue with what was happening and neither the lead teacher nor the director made any attempts to help and recover the situation. A few months later, my daughter shared that she was violated in that class by 2 other children 'under the watch' of one the rotating teachers. It completely broke me as I did everything as a parent and a teacher to protect her. The teacher, lead teacher and director must have known about the incident and covered it up (as they have cameras in every single room) making it more traumatic for my daughter as she learned she was clearly on her own at the fragile age of 5. I would never ever send my child or recommend any of the child time facilities to any caring parent. Their priorities are clear, it is profit and maintaining high attendance, NOT the wellbeing of the kids they claim to be caring for. Atrocious.

I love this daycare! They are always friendly and will go out of their way to make sure your child is well cared for! You’re also able to check in on your child via the app which is very comforting… and you get updates through out the day about nap times, what your child ate etc. they also upload pictures as well!! Me and my daughter absolutely love Childtime on Portage Path!

My kids have been coming to childtime since 2023 at the Portage Trail Extention in Cuyahoga Falls. Mrs. Marleena, Mrs. Beca, Mrs. Jen, Miss Morgan and several others over the years have been great with my children. I have never had any issues. They are very nice and informative if you have any questions.

I have used Childtime on Portage Trail for both of my sons (for 4 years!) and they have always taken great care of my children. I also love the cameras, you can check in on them throughout the day. Can't recommend this center enough :)

To be able to see the transformation in real time is amazing!! Ms Christina has been tentative in the needs of parents AND teachers. The kiddos have been a huge reflection of that. Love the new direction😊
