What Parents Say
Children's Village Montessori School receives consistently high praise from parents who highlight the caring, responsive staff and welcoming environment. Parents report their children thrive academically and emotionally, with strong teacher-child relationships and supportive director communication. The center successfully accommodates individual family needs and uses Montessori techniques effectively.
I wanted to share my experience with this children’s village because, while the mission and intention appear positive, the administration consistently fails when it comes to handling conflict with parents, children, and staff. Instead of addressing concerns with transparency, empathy, and open communication, administration often responds defensively or dismissively. Parents who raise legitimate questions are treated as problems rather than partners, which creates unnecessary tension and erodes trust. Children are caught in the middle of unresolved issues, and their emotional well-being seems to become secondary to protecting administrative authority. Staff members also appear unsupported. When conflicts arise, there is little evidence of mediation, accountability, or leadership willing to listen and learn. This leads to poor morale, inconsistent communication, and situations escalating when they could have been resolved early with basic conflict management skills. A children’s village should model healthy communication, emotional intelligence, and collaboration especially since it serves vulnerable children. Unfortunately, the administration shows a repeated inability or unwillingness to reflect, adapt, and learn how to manage conflict in a respectful and professional way. Until meaningful changes are made in leadership approach and conflict resolution practices, I cannot recommend this organization to families or professionals seeking a supportive and child-centered environment.
We love bringing our son here. We are driving the opposite direction from our work to drop him off in the mornings because we are so happy with the staff and clearly see how cared for our son is. Even when we came off the waitlist at a location closer to work we decided to stay. They are responsive to feedback and staff are willing to put in extra to babysit or even help pick up our son if we get caught late at work which is a game changer since we don’t have family in town to help with childcare.
We have loved our time at CVMS. Obviously, a good teacher makes the biggest difference and we've been big fans of our teachers in the one's and two's room. In a time where every center has staffing issues, CVMS does a good job of rotating teachers when needed, but also keeping consistency in the individual classrooms as much as possible. It's very welcoming to enter the door and all of the teachers know your child's name and will say hi. Charissa is a great owner and does a good job communicating to the parents when issues arise and keeps parents in the loop with any center changes. You can tell she wants what is best for the center. They've also been very helpful with potty training. We've been to our fair share of centers in 2 years trying to find the right one for our family and this one has been such a pleasant surprise.
We are so grateful we found CVMS! Everyone is kind, understanding, and it’s really feels like a family. Our daughters are so loved and well cared for. The directors are helpful, accommodating, and wonderful at communicating.
My daughter started fall of 2013 in the infant room and we really miss it since moving to Colorado last month. Our family LOVED the staff in the infant and toddler room. Our daughter learned so much and she loved going to school everyday. You could tell that the staff truly loved our daughter and her teachers went above and beyond to make sure that our daughter felt safe and cared for. I could tell this just by the attachment she had towards the teachers and how she would talk about Ms. Candi, Ms. Maria, Ms. Carmen, and Ms. Lupe. Haven't found a daycare in Colorado that compares to the staff at Children's Village Montessori School.
