When we first attended this facility my child was 4 months old and the only facility to care for my child at the time. At first I felt comfortable leaving my baby. My child is now 13 months old and once she turned a year old things went south. I felt when I left I had to stay on the cameras to make sure my child was being taken care of properly. The teacher was always off camera, and never interacting with my child. I got an incident report that my child was bit but stated “child’s name pulled her hair other child bit your child”.. I always felt as though my child was a “problem”. It’s daycare, but most of the problems would not have been an issue if the teachers were more interactive with the children. I feel as though they were there to get a paycheck then to actually care for your children. My child had marks on her butt that I showed to the director with a time stamp, and never heard anything else about. My child kept a diaper rash after asking them to please change every hour.. my child at 1 years old never cried at drop offs but then all of sudden did.. also letting me know she didn’t feel safe there. I could go on and on.. I felt it was more her teacher because the other lady’s in the facility were devastated to hear I was removing my older children as well. My experience once was good and then wasn’t. I would never recommend this facility to anyone anymore. How they are a 5 star facility beats me.
We love Lighthouse! Our daughter has grown so much just in the few months she has been there. The teachers genuinely care about each child in their classroom and my daughter loves her teachers. They also have cameras in each room and outside so you can always log in and see what they are up to. We are so happy to have found this daycare and can't wait for our second baby to learn and grow there too!!
Hands down the best facility and staff I have ever seen. I have 4 children and my last daughter was a preemie with special needs and a feeding tube. She is at a great risk for aspirating thin liquids and not have I ever been concerned while shes there. This facility and staff took this on and every single teacher in this school has been amazing with my daughter. They took the time to make sure she was being fed properly and never singled her out from attention, love and affection. They love and care for your children as if they were their own and who doesn't want that? Miss Anna runs this facility flawlessly and is always smiling and cheerful. I know shes exhausted, can you imagine what all she has to do. But needless to say the least she rocks it.. DAILY... The teachers pay close attention to details, and they know your children's' routine. Very very blessed to have a facility and staff like this caring for my baby girl. Thank you all so much for what you do with and for Lola daily :)
My 2 daughters (2year old and 4 year old) have been attending the Children’s Lighthouse for almost a year now. When we first started taking our daughters to this daycare we were not happy. The previous director had a lack of skill to be polite. Right when we made the decision to pull out our girls, Mrs. Leah took over as the Director. She convinced us to give her the opportunity to take care of our girls. Although we were skeptical, we gave her the opportunity because Mrs. Leah has a very sincere, honest and attentive character. It is incredible how Mrs. Leah has turned that place around. From sanitation to attention to details. She has brighten up the daycare with fun decor that caters to the seasons and/or events. The teachers seem more engaged and you always feel welcomed and as part of their family. It takes a team to be successful, but it takes a leader to to drive the team to success. Mrs. Leah is certainly driving this daycare to success as she continues to look for ways to improve the experience of the daycare for the children, the parents and her staff!
All my 3 children now aged 8, 6 and 4 have been attending childrens lighthouse waxhaw since my oldest was 6 months. I absolutely love this daycare. The teachers are so calm, kind and gentle and genuinely love the children. The directors Claire and Tina are so friendly and always try to accommodate my needs. Very compassionate. There are cameras in the classrooms and parents are free to check on their children. You also get a daily sheet that tells you how your child did each day. The daycare is very clean and organized. The children get proper instructional teaching. Circle time, learning alphabet, shapes, numbers etc. The classrooms are very well stocked with age appropriate materials and toys. They have an awesome playground and also great after-school activities. After-schoolers get to go out to different amazing activities and have a lot of fun while learning. I highly highly recommend this daycare.
