Wonder Academy has been an amazing first preschool experience for my son. From the friendly administration to his lovely teacher, Ms. Susan, we have felt so much support and care. He is truly thriving, and we could not be happier with our experience. We’re so grateful for Wonder Academy and highly recommend it!
We couldn’t be more thankful for Wonder Academy. Our daughter had a tough time adjusting at first—starting a new school just after turning one was a big change—but she’s grown so much since then! The staff is so supportive and her teachers are wonderful. She’s learning every day, having a blast, and the communication and curriculum are truly exceptional. Thank you for everything you do!
I cannot say enough great things about this school. From the amazing 5 star staff! To how much my daughter has gotten comfortable there, she has made so many friends and always talks about how much she loves her teacher. The place has a very secure sign in sign out process so I feel totally safe her being there. They have an app where you can see updates and videos of your child at school! They keep the place spotless! There's too many good things to say. I'd highly recommend it.
Wonder Academy has been such an amazing, memorable experience for our child. We’ve seen so much growth with him the past few months. The staff really leaves you with a peace of mind and the app is consistent with plenty of updates throughout the day. The staff is filled passionate professionals whom represent Wonder Academy very well. Absolutely would recommend to any family with little ones!
We loved Wonder Academy at first, but unfortunately our experience went downhill. We chose this school because they promised they were glad to work with our rotating childcare needs. My husband works a rotating schedule in EMS, and I work M–F. One week we need assistance M/T/F, the next week it is Wed/Th, and it stays on this consistent schedule. For 8 months, this was fine. Our son missed some time at school over the summer as we had to attend 2 funerals, both my husband’s grandmother and my grandmother passed away in about a month from each other. After returning from his absences for the funerals, we began getting pressured to enroll him full time, at a rate that was over $400 more per month than we had been paying. Mr. Adrian even told me that our child being part-time was keeping other full-time kids from enrolling, which felt like a light threat despite him stating they would not stop helping us. By late July, we were told they would no longer honor our schedule for the upcoming school year, and gave us just five days to tell them if we would be switching him to full time or one of the fixed part time schedules. Since neither option worked for our family, we decided to unenroll our son and go elsewhere. We never got a response to our unenrollment email, no conversation in person, the next interaction I had with either administrator was being handed a piece of paper without a word, given no opportunity to discuss anything. On top of that, our final tuition bill was inconsistent with the $945/month we had always paid. They suddenly tried to charge us $567 for half a month, claiming we had always been on a daily rate of $94.50, which was not true. If it were true, some months would have been $945, some months would have been $1,134. When we raised concerns about the discrepancy, Ms. Alexa responded with rudeness, constant interruptions, and attitude instead of professionalism. I eventually had to hang up on her because she would not stop arguing with us. This was one of many examples of how impersonal and unprofessional our exit experience was. We do not appreciate being spoken to as if we are her preschoolers. We are parents of said preschooler, we are not children ourselves. There were also safety concerns earlier in the year. At pickup one day, I walked to my son’s classroom, asked the teacher where he was and she pointed across the hall and said he was over there. So I went to the room across the hall, asked that teacher where my son was, and she pointed to the classroom across the hall and said he was over there, the room I just came from. So naturally, I started panicking and looking for my son and found him in a dark classroom playing with toys, alone by himself. Ms. Olena found him at the same time that I did, before realizing I was right behind her too, and she grabbed my son and started to scold and talk loudly at him for being in the room by himself before seeing that I was there. I didn’t say a word to Ms. Olena, grabbed my son and son’s things and I just left furious, but grateful he was okay. To say that I was furious is honestly that an understatement. Ms. Alexa stated she would not show me the cameras, and that he wasn’t alone in the classroom. I know what I saw, I know what I experienced. Mr. Adrian did advise me that it would be handled and that there would be no more discrepancies at pickup, and there was never an issue after this. But Ms. Alexa was very dismissive about this. I decided to drop it since it was the only concerning thing that had happened so far, but I still do not feel comfortable about how that was handled. The teachers themselves are wonderful. Ms. Jordan, Ms. Becca, Ms. Ebony (who sadly left), and others truly cared for our son, and we are very grateful for them. But the administration, specifically Ms. Alexa, lacks professionalism, communication skills, and the ability to appropriately handle parents’ concerns. Wonder Academy would be a much better place with stronger and better equipped leadership.
