This is the absolute best daycare in the Keller/FW area! We visited many before we finally settled on Children’s Lighthouse of Woodland Springs when he was a baby! They were nothing but welcoming when we started, and now almost 3 years later nothing has changed! There is a family atmosphere and he has already learned his ABC’s! My son truly looks forward to going to daycare everyday! And I love that! ❤️
Our family has been sending our son to Children’s Lighthouse for over two years now. He started out in their infant room and has had an amazing experience! Every adult in the building knows our son by name and he is excited to see them everyday. We have felt supported in all of our personal decisions throughout the years such as preparing his bottles, administering medications, potty training, and nap schedules. We are quickly informed of any incidents that involve him directly or indirectly, and all staff members have had his best interests in mind. We are constantly surprised by the new things he learns at school that he shows off at home. We love Children’s Lighthouse!
This daycare is the absolute best with my child. They teach her things that are advanced for her age and treat her with great kindness and empathy. I would recommend anyone to this school because of how the environment is so welcoming and made her feel like home
If there was a way to give 0 stars to this place I absolutely would. The one redeeming person here was Casey who made registration seamless and actually seemed to care. The director Sarah and the teacher for my daughter seemed 100000000% negligent and had absolutely no care or regard for my daughter. Not fit for toddlers in my opinion or being proactive about issues First week here I picked her up it was 51 degrees or less and they had outside with her shirt soaked. First day I get camera access my daughter is drinking from everyone’s cups and the teacher is sweeping the floor and using that same broom to sweep the table the kids eat at. Third day Casey notifies me off a diaper rash, we notify the teacher, come up with a plan of action, talk to the teacher the next day to talk about more frequent diaper changes. When I pick her up that afternoon she’s soiled Procare shows it was 5 hours before a previous diaper change. My daughter is visibly and audible in pain trying to clean her and the rash is significantly worse. I show Casey the person who is under the director who is very nice and says she called the director that evening (Thursday). I send an email Friday morning requesting to speak to the person in charge about strategies moving forward to prevent skin breakdown from happening and issues I’ve had first week….. Director doesn’t call me, doesn’t email even though I mentioned time sensitivity due to work. It’s now Monday at noon I go to pick up her stuff and all the director says is "how is she doing, I’m sorry" Not a “hey here’s what we found, hey this is what we’re doing, this isn’t the standard we hold for ourselves, or we strive to make your child safe” nothing. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE . Do not trust these people with your children ________________________________________________________ In regards to your reply to this review: You still have not called or emailed. You are more focused on replying to a review that other people see, than doing the right thing or reaching out to me personally. "Any time a parent shares feedback, whether related to communication, classroom routines, or anything impacting their child, we take it seriously and review the situation internally. We regret that we were not able to connect with you directly before your decision to withdraw, as we would have welcomed the opportunity to discuss your concerns in detail and work together on a plan moving forward." To the director, you did not take it seriously when I showed up to grab her stuff. Nor did you take it seriously when you were notified Thursday evening, or all day Friday, or half of the day Monday. You did not discuss any of the concerns to me that I listed in the email, and that I shared with your staff, and you failed to reach out. There were NO DETAILS about working together or moving forward. All I got was "how is the rash, I am sorry" that is not seriously sitting down with someone or investigating what happened
My child has been attending for almost 5 years and I couldn’t ask for a better place to love and care for my child. Great staff and teachers, clean and the staff is always great about communicating with you. They always go out of their way to plan fun activities for the kids. We feel a part of the lighthouse family. We are graduating to kindergarten in the fall and feel sad leaving our lighthouse family that has been such an important part of my son’s life the past 5 years.
