Wouldn’t leave a child there! There are never enough teachers, but yet they send teachers home! The director was caught FaceTiming with a man in the back office, when a parent walked in & didn’t see anyone up front, she left with her child. The director & assistant director come & go as they please & are very unprofessional. The staff is able to go to the store on company time whenever they want. The latest incident was a little child taken to the hospital & had to get stitches, & nobody knew how it happened. The director only hires her friends, then it becomes more of a hangout instead of a place of work. These children deserve a better caring & learning environment! Since the former director was asked to leave, many children & staff have also left.

The director has been such a positive reinforcement for this place. Not only is she loving but dedicated to making it a better place. It’s been a lot of love for the children put in since being here. The staff are great as well! My daughter enjoys playing with the other kids and comes home talking a lot more now! I appreciate everything they have done and do for the children.

The director here is very unprofessional and racist towards her staff. She takes out the Black babies that are in the infant/toddler rooms & shows them on FaceTime. She’s on her phone 24/7. I wouldn’t recommend anyone bring their child here or work here. 5 employees have left this center within a months span because of the unprofessionalism & racism that goes on at this center. Not to mention this center has had 3 CPS cases within a 6-8 month span. I had to pull my child out of here as fast as I could once I’ve started noticing all these things

Note: this does not apply to all Children's Corner locations. I've had my daughter in another location for 2 days and things there were 300% better. This review only applies to the Tarrytown location. The good: - Open late. - They're accomodating of unexpected things happening at work. - Nice playground outside. The bad: - Staff doesn't care about the kids: diaper rash is a regular occurrence because they won't use the cream we provided; for a number of weeks, socks kept disappearing; snacks/fruit we provide are often not given to the child. - Any attempt to talk to the teachers is met with a variation: "I don't know why the other people didnt' do [insert here], but they've gone home already so tough". It's always someone else's fault. - Example of the staff not caring: today my 2-year old was running around barefoot. Staff didn't feel like even putting clean socks on her after she got her shoes dirty. When asked about it: "Other shift didn't do it." I didn't even ask why, even if the other shift didn't do it, they just let the kid run around barefoot for hours during their own shift. Overall: This place is ok if you don't have options due to location/work hours. If you do, choose another daycare.

location, price and hours were good. Some staff members were good but I would never put my baby in this place again. I have to say couple of the staff members seem to care and I was happy to see them take care of my baby but this was my general experience. 1) staff keeps losing items - same excuse for lost items - the other staff must have put it somewhere, baby was moved from the other room, I just took over watching the babies. No one knows what's happening there 2) we had issue with inconsistency on the daily report and baby's behavior - e.g. the baby drank all the milk/formula provided (~120% of what she can normally eat - we were adding more than normal portion just to check our suspicion) the report always showed baby ate everything, about 30 mins to hour before picking up the baby. But when we get home the baby starts crying because of hunger and finishes another normal portion. I'm told baby's eating habits differ under different care but I don't think it's possible for a baby to finish 120% of normal feeding portion and still be so hungry 30 mins later they are crying and can eat another full portion, almost everyday. I tried to confirm the feeding time and I'm just given the run-around.. The caretaker left, they are busy, we don't know what to tell you (then walks away) 3) once when we went to pick up the baby early, she was sitting in a bouncer with a cold bottle in her arms - when I asked what's happening, they replied the baby can feed herself so they left the bottle. (no, the baby can grip the bottle while you feed but did not have enough arm strength nor coordination to actually feed) and considering the bottle was cold and the baby was crying from hunger, I can't imagine they were very attentive 4) they have no idea how to use baby powder - we took the baby home and when changing the diaper there was a fist size cake of baby powder in the diaper, not flakes, not little clumps but cake of the baby powder 5) I told them I had concerns with the consistency of the daily report, I was told if I didn't trust them, take the baby somewhere else 6) getting the deposit back - they kept referring us to the main office, which is somewhere else. Month after we took the baby out we made several phone calls (over a week) and eventually got to someone who helped us. We were informed they couldn't even find a record of the deposit or the baby, and it seemed there was no reporting from the Tarrytown facility. Eventually we did get our deposit back but not without effort. We put our baby here because it was close, it was cheaper than almost all other places. Only thing I can say now is that, I'm glad baby is safe and she won't remember this place. Sadly, now it's become a social event horror story/cautionary tale we share with friends.
