My 2 kids started this daycare around 3 weeks ago. When we did the tour, we met one of the directors and we really liked her energy. We didn’t get to fully meet the teachers at the time which we grew to regret later. We have a 1 year old who was in one room and a 2 year old who was in another. Our 2 year old was having a hard time when we were dropping her off. Which was completely normal and we understood that. But when we enrolled, we specifically stated that we only wanted our children using the cups and bottles that we provide. We were told that was fine. We specifically stated that our kids only drink organic milk and that we would provide it. We were told that was fine. We were mindful of how much we put in each of the bottles and cups for each child. Now to list the issues we had: -we picked up our son more than once with a diaper that was put on TOO TIGHT. He had lines to show for it and chaffing on his area. You’d think that putting on a diaper is something that’s taught at a facility that takes care of children. -we picked up our daughter and noticed that her water cup was barely touched. We asked and the answer was “oh we have our own sippy cups for the kids to drink.” Even though I stated that I only wanted them to drink the ones that were provided by us? -we constantly received attitude from an older lady that was working in our 2 year olds room. We stated we didn’t feel comfortable with her in the room with our child. They removed her. I’ll give them that. -our 1 year old wasn’t fully eating table food. We stated that before we enrolled and multiple times after he enrolled. I get that there are state regulations. But not being willing to work with me without me having to escalate the situation was absolutely ridiculous. I had to sit and talk on the phone with the owner for things to actually be done about everything and by that time the damage was already done. My 1 year old went an entire day with only 2 ounces out of the 8 ounces of food that was sent with him and 3 8oz bottles of milk. When I asked why I wasn’t notified, they said that he was probably having a hard day. Okay? And you couldn’t at least call me to notify me that my 1 year old went almost 8 HOURS BARELY EATING? A simply phone call or email would have gone a LONG way. Since we use daycare vouchers, we had to give 2 week notice but the daycare could wave the 2 week notice if they were okay with it. So I came to them and said “hey this clearly isn’t working. We don’t want our kids going there and we just aren’t comfortable with our kids going here. Can we just waive the 2 weeks and all just go our separate ways?” The owner does EVERYTHING he can to get us to stay the 2 weeks so he can get his money. He DID NOT care how uncomfortable we were. He DID NOT care how unprofessional one of his staff was. And he clearly DID NOT care for our kids at all. It’s the principle of the matter. We specified our wants and needs for our children. We were told that those would be respected and to be disrespected at every turn thereafter was just wrong. I urge anyone to please find a different daycare. We have and the daycare our kids are at now is awesome. And our daughter doesn’t cry nearly as much as she did there. Our son also eats his food there. I wonder what the difference was?
I'm so thrilled with Children’s Castle. My child has blossomed in their warm and supportive environment, and I see so much growth every day. The teachers are incredibly caring and truly get to know each child as an individual. I also love the peace of mind I get from the live cameras and the fact that meals are included. It’s obvious that everyone here is all in when it comes to helping kids feel safe, loved, and excited to learn—but hands down, our favorite is Shantel. She didn’t just learn my child’s name; she got to know him - his quirks, questions, dinosaur obsession, and all. Her compassion and patience are next level, and honestly, my son couldn't be in better hands.
When I go in to pick up or even drop of my grandchildren, everyone Is so nice, which to me is amazing, especially that time of morning. They greet the kids by name and the greet me also very nicely. They always make sure we have everything we should before we leave in the afternoon and always say bye. I would recommend Children's Castle to others
Great place. My kids have been with Childrens castle for four years now. They treat all four of my girls as if they were their own children. The love my children receive is wonderful.
They are always friendly, my daughter loves going and spending time with her friends. Shantel has been a blessing, she explained everything so thoroughly, answered all my questions and truly made me feel like my child was safe with her.
