What Parents Say
Parents consistently praise Children of America-Wilmington for its caring, nurturing staff and clean facilities. The center is highlighted for strong teacher-child relationships, excellent communication with parents, and structured learning activities. Directors Andrea and Brandy are noted for creating a welcoming environment where families feel valued.
My son is in the toddler classroom with Ms. Courtney and Ms. Emonni, and they are doing an excellent job teaching him structure and routine. The classroom is consistently kept very clean, and I truly appreciate that the toys are sanitized at least once a week to help prevent the spread of germs. Coming from a medical background, cleanliness is of the utmost importance to me, and this center exceeds my expectations in that regard. The teachers are diligent about maintaining hygiene by washing the children’s faces and hands and wiping their noses as needed. I pick up my son each day just as clean as when I dropped him off, which gives me great peace of mind. Ms. Courtney and Ms. Emonni are also very nurturing and engage the children in a variety of activities, so I know my son is learning and developing appropriately. I have also seen Ms. Andrea, the Director, in the mornings at drop-off, and she is always smiling and energetic. She creates a very welcoming environment, and I can truly tell that she appreciates both me and my son being there.
My daughter and I have been a member of the COA family for almost a year now and we have been pleased with experience thus far. My daughter’s first teacher was Ms Amanda she loved on my then non verbal 15months old. My daughter transitioned into the older toddler room where she met ms Emonni. She has loved on my baby and has helped the both of us navigate the amount of time she is there due to my work schedule. We are normally the first family there at 6:30. Ms Emonni’s patience has helped my baby speak and now that she is 2.3yrs old my baby has full sentences and a heart full of love towards her teacher. If Ms Emonni isn’t there in the morning my daughter gets the excitement of being with ms Carrie. One day I dropped her off at our regular time but she was being a little moody. Ms Carrie calmed her down and sent pictures on their app to update me that her mood had improved. Her current Teacher ms Bev has been super supportive in our potty training journey in the two year old room and has been very accepting of my child’s big personality. Warmest of hugs to Ms Brandy who has been always around for a brief but meaningful chat at pick up. My baby always blows kisses on our way out the door. We are honored to be a member of this amazing COA family.
My grandson has been going there for awhile now. He is now in class with Ms. Shanelle. She is so kind, communicates so well, and my grandson runs to her every morning. She has educated him with vocabulary & numbers! I know he is learning, which feels great! Ms. Andrea and Ms. Brandy are wonderful directors. They always have smiles on their faces and have something positive to say about my grandson. Thank you so much to Children of America! I recommend you come and see for yourself the wonderful environment families and children are truly loved and appreciated by teachers and management!
