What Parents Say
Childcare Castle has highly polarized reviews. Positive reviewers praise the welcoming staff, child development outcomes, and communication. Negative reviewers report serious concerns including alleged physical mistreatment, harsh discipline practices, and staff rudeness.
I had two of my son's there in daycare. They became exceptional children. My oldest Shiprock's top athlete & my second oldest is a Commission Officer in the Navy now. Thank you Uncle Lonny.
My children love it here. My oldest has been going for quite a while and I have never had any issues with them. They have also helped my middle child with other behavior issues he had while at another daycare. My middle is now thriving and loves going to daycare. My youngest is always smiling when I drop him off and pick him up. They have the greatest staff who are always welcoming and friendly.
I’ve been holding on to this review for 2 years. Let me start by saying, before you choose a daycare for your child/children, go to the CYFD website and look over their audits. Through them, you will see this daycare is consistently impatient with BABIES. My niece, who I hold guardianship over was “kicked out” of this facility at 2 years old. For some context, she was born addicted to drugs from her biological mother. During her time at this child prison, She was allegedly a biter. A policy was created specifically for her, regarding children who bite. I was given this to review and the following day, she was no longer welcome at the facility. Prior to this, she would come home with pinch marks on her thighs from being forcefully strapped into the high chair. And left. The reason was because she would attempt to leave. I can’t speak for everyone, but if I was being treated the way they treated her, I would try to escape too, I would probably bite you if that was my only means of communication. She would have melt downs when it was time to sit and eat, in fear, my best assumption, of being trapped in the high chair all day. My son, who had never had prior accidents, would come home smelling like urine, regularly. The staff treated my children horribly and they were rude to me. As though they were not entrusted with MY babies. Abuse is a word that comes to mind. I enrolled my children into another local facility two years ago, and an issue of biting has never came up. My son has had zero accidents since. This was reactive behavior from the mistreatment at this disgusting facility. As a parent, you are your child’s biggest advocate. I urge you to pay attention to your children’s behavior changes if you bring them to this facility. More so, I Urge you to avoid this facility at all costs.
My kids go here and I like it. I always have a nice chat with the teachers when dropping off my kids and they greet my children first. I get cute art projects at the end of the month or whenever. My oldest always says hi and bye to all the teachers and talks about them with me and his day. I do get ouchie reports but it’s always other kids or my kids being clumsy. Overall though my kids like going and I like taking them.
Horrible place. Staff is rude and suck at their jobs. Pulled my child from here. Also know someone who went in for an interview and they treated her horrible. Avoid this place
