My 4 and 5 years old girl and boy, just had a very good experience at this child care facility, going in , speaking only French back in August 2024, as of today August 2025 they can speak both French and English, I’m just amazed by the hard work Ms Josephine and her entire staff have put into this program. My kids are ready for the elementary level. I will not hesitate to recommend any parent to this amazing center, Ms Rose is so sweet and extremely kind, she performed her job with passion, kudos to the whole staff. Very excellent, we will miss you guys.
Child World learning Center in Upper Marlboro is a great place for your children to thrive .The environment was very stimulating for learning, teaching philosophy was developmentally focus to meet the child’s need. Staff are very professionally. Ms Josephine really wants the children to succeed and be great leaders for tomorrow. My child was there from 18 months to 4 year of age and I was very pleased with the services. It is most organized and structured learning center I've seen in a long time. Unlike many other centers, their focus is (really) the children and preparing them for school. The director have done a great job at selecting whom they hire to teach and care for the children.
The teachers at this daycare have made me feel very uncomfortable. They are not welcoming to children in the morning during drop off and I have no idea what happens during the day because parents haven't been allowed inside due to covid. My daughter was recently picked up from school crying with a mark on her cheek and I was told she vomited twice during the day. I got no phone call about this! She also felt very warm so I took her temperature as soon as I arrived home and it was 105. The teacher never thought to check her temperature during the day. This is a type of negligence towards a child which is unacceptable! I will say the assistant Marissa is very sweet and seems to do well with the children. The director Mrs. Josephine and her husband are nice but I feel as tho they should not be letting teachers like that work in there facility it gives them a bad name.
My granddaughter has attended Child World since October 2018 and she is loves it. Each day she asks if she’s going to see Ms Janet, her teacher.😊 She has learned so much in a short time, her vocabulary has increased tremendously and she loves reading time. She is more outgoing too. It is also Christian based, which is also important. I’m so happy I made the decision to send her to Child World. Thank you Ms. Josephine, Ms. Janet, and the entire staff for taking such good care of Madison.
If I could leave no stars I would. Be cautious if you bring your child here. my child has confessed to being hit on by a teacher and I asked his teacher she straight said " You know these kids tell stories " When asking for footage, I was told to schedule a Zoom to see it, and then the cameras were down all of a sudden. I was told my child was lying! Now he has a forever dent in his cheek from the bruise that he got under the care of this center. Communication regarding harm or visible scars/bruises is deterred by speaking on behavior that was never discussed before questioning how your child got hurt. They don't work by the book unless you get CPS involved or you start documenting.
