Our daughter has been a student at Chesterbrook since we moved to Lancaster in 2019. She started in the infant room and is now a toddler. Her teachers, Ms Wendy, and Ms. Cassie are absolutely wonderful! They provide a wonderful learning experience and are caring and compassionate! They are flexible and great communication with parents. They are clean and very aware of the well-being of the children. We love it there!
The staff here are life savers. They have a program for virtual learners to complete their school work at the academy. They help with school, not only with signing on for classes, but tracking assignments, helping students, and communicating with teachers. They do additional activities such as play outside and art, as well. This has been a true blessing for our family, giving us piece of mind that our child is safe and learning during the day so we can focus on work and home. It also provides a school like structure while the schools are still affected by Covid-19. My child loves attending. The classrooms are clean, the staff is kind and caring, and they communicate daily through email and apps.
Chesterbrook has been part of our lives for over 6 years. Our children are safe and well cared for there. We feel that our children are loved by the outstanding staff. Our children have talked enthusiastically about their teachers and frequently want to color pictures for them. The relationships formed by our children and their teachers as well as their classmates are priceless. They have gone above expectations to help us when we struggled with a little one not going to bed. As a working parent, time can be tight to leave work and pick up a child for a doctor's appointment, but they have been so helpful with this, alleviating some stress. We are pleased that we found a place we trust leaving our children.
Great environment! My husband and I put our daughter in daycare here when she turned 1. She grew so much in the first few months, and she absolutely loves going there! We appreciate that they stick to a curriculum for the kids and give us information to continue working with them at home. Very happy with all the people at Chesterbrook!
Our daughter has attended since she was about 6 months old (current 6 year old in the Kindergarten enrichment class). The following is my opinion: At the start, the school was wonderful and everything a parent could want for their child. They were attentive, communicative and were a true advocate for your child’s education. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case. Since COVID, things have gone downhill in a hurry and they haven’t recovered. Lack of quality teachers, even just a lack of teachers and staff in general, has been our experience for the last few years. There has been a constant revolving door of teachers, principals and assistant principals that has led to major inconsistencies in the care this center provides, meanwhile they justify raising rates every chance they get. Because of staffing issues, children are constantly grouped in lower age classrooms and not receiving the education that we were promised in their normal classrooms. The latest issue is Chesterbrook Academy breaching all Kindergarten enrichment parent’s contracts by discontinuing transportation to and from all of the elementary schools- a service clearly spelled out as an included service in our contracts with the school. They tried to do this on 2 weeks notice, but have now extended it to later this month, still not helpful in the middle of a school year. The affected parents have reached out in various ways and have received little to no response to our concerns. Our saving grace is that we are almost out of the daycare system for good, so we are riding this out until the current school year ends in May, otherwise we would have pulled our child and went somewhere else.
