Chelsea Day School has been an incredible experience for our family. The warm, caring, and creative environment fostered by the highly engaged and thoughtful teachers has been instrumental in our daughter’s development. From the day she started, we could see how the teachers’ dedication and attention to each child’s needs made a difference. The school offers so many opportunities for valuable parenting advice, both from the school itself and the community of parents. This inclusive community is something we truly cherish—it's where we’ve made friendships that we know will last for many years ahead. Our daughter, who initially took time to warm up to new people and environments, is now confident and adaptable, a transformation we attribute to the skills she developed at Chelsea Day. Her curiosity and excitement for learning are palpable, and she looks forward to going to school every week. As she finished her last day this past June, we felt that she is not only well-prepared for Kindergarten but has also built a strong foundation for her future education. We are deeply appreciative of the opportunity to have been a part of the Chelsea Day School community and are forever grateful for the experience it provided for our daughter.

Chelsea Day School is a magical place for children to begin their school journey. The teachers and administration are best in class and the community is cultivated with warmth and care and intention. Every time I walk into the beautiful space, my heart lifts because the kids are full of energy and joy and engaged in the most creative and interesting ways of learning. Our son has spent all of his preschool years there and it has not only helped him thrive as a learner but also us as parents. I truly believe there is no better preschool in New York City.

Chelsea Day is a truly special place for little friends to begin their educational journey. There is a warmth in the community that permeates in everything that they do and we are thankful for the life long friendships we developed while at CDS. Our children emerged from CDS as warm, inquisitive, confident little learners thanks to the faculty and staff. They also did an amazing job supporting us throughout the next school process with honest feedback and helpful guidance to ensure our children move on to the right school for them and our family. We can't say enough good things about Chelsea Day School and we are grateful to Jean, Debbie and all the wonderful teachers.

We’ve had a wonderful experience at Chelsea Day School! From the moment we met the teachers and staff, we were struck by the warmth and care they bring to their roles. The educators are not only nurturing but also genuinely invested in each child’s growth. They consistently take the time to update us on our daughter’s progress and share delightful stories from her day, which means so much to us as parents. The teachers put a tremendous amount of thought into every lesson plan, carefully considering the individual experiences and feelings of each student. The emotional growth we’ve observed in the children is remarkable, as the teachers seamlessly weave these elements into their lessons. One of the aspects I love most about CDS is witnessing my daughter’s remarkable development of social skills and friendships. Initially shy, she has truly blossomed in this nurturing environment. It’s heartwarming to see how excited she is to go to school every day, eager to connect with her many friends. The school fosters a strong sense of community and respect, teaching children the importance of sharing, listening, and kindness. This supportive social environment has had a profoundly positive impact on her, helping her feel truly part of a family.

Chelsea Day School has been the most beautiful, loving and wonderful part of our children and our family's life. It is a warm, friendly and open space for all to be nurtured and to play while learning social and emotional skills to set them for the years to come. We as parents also learnt so much also through a warm and collaborative community and faculty.
