Very clean. Kind and generous people you'll ever meet. If you're a homeless women and or have children this is the place. Call or go to 404 E Washington Blvd the rescue mission downtown Fort Wayne Indiana.

Very depressing place, feels like a prison. Treats everyone as if they’re an addict. Staff very unprofessional, rude, and constantly gossip about residents instead of helping. Only give out a quarter of donations and either pocket or throw out the rest. You can’t work for 6-8 months so good luck on saving. I could say more but this is just whats on the surface. All in all the program is not helpful in any way and I would never recommend.

I feel that Charis House is a great place for women and children needing a safe place and a program to help them get back on their feet again. Good, caring staff. I know people that have received assistance from them. I also donate anything i can to them.

Charris house has a lot of good points. Nice to know a person doesn't have to be completely homeless. Life is truly what I make it. I choose to follow the rules which can appear to be very strict, but I know for a fact strict can keep you out of jail. But I digress. Everything is choice. Haven't quite adhere to all of this but for me it's something to ponder. I can choose to follow there strict rules or I can be further homeless.

This place is beyond amazing!!! Great food! Great staff (except that 1... it's always that one miserable person in every setting!) But the staff here is loving, friendly, supportive, encouraging and understanding!!!!! This is the BEST EXPERIENCE I'VE HAD SINCE I'VE BEEN IN FORT WAYNE 114 DAYS!! HANDS DOWN, I LOVE IT!!!
