Unfortunately, my overall experience with this daycare was disappointing. My son attended from about seven weeks old until nearly one year, and during that time, I found a significant disconnect between what was promised online and what was actually practiced. As he grew older, I became increasingly concerned about the lack of meaningful engagement, structured activities, and early learning opportunities. Story time occurred infrequently, and most staff did not regularly interact with the children in a stimulating or engaging way. I had expected a focus on Montessori-inspired activities, story time, sensory play, and foundational concepts like letters, numbers, and blocks—but those expectations were not met. If you're looking for a daycare where your child will receive quality attention, active engagement, and support from an enthusiastic and involved staff, this may not be the right fit. I ultimately chose to withdraw my son and go with a different educational environment to ensure he receives the one-on-one attention and developmental support needed to prepare for future educational success. Some of the staff were genuinely warm and welcoming, which was appreciated. However, others appeared disengaged and showed little enthusiasm, especially around the children, rarely even offering a smile. I understand there was a change in ownership or management last year, and it seems that many of these issues may stem from the overall culture and work environment, which often reflect leadership at the top.

We’ve had our son here since he was 10 weeks old, he’s now 2.5. He loves going to “school” every day and the entire staff knows him by name or the nickname they gave him. They’ve helped him learn so much every day.

Chappell San Marco is a wonderful childcare facility. I used Chappell Riverside for my oldest daughter in 2018 and had a great experience so I was very happy that San Marco had an opening for my newborn in July 2022. My youngest daughter started at San Marco when she was 12 weeks old. Ms Chrissy and Ms Karen in the Pandas classroom are infant whisperers! They took such good care of my little girl! Mrs Helen is an absolute Angel and both of my girls have sweet, engaging interactions with her! Ms Mina, Ms Britt and Ms Charita in the Koalas classroom are excellent with the mobile infants. They did so many cute activities with them! They did a cute keepsake painting on my daughter’s First Birthday that I will cherish forever! The teachers in the Alligators and Elephants are great with the toddlers! All of the staff is very friendly and know my daughters by name. Ms Stacey, Ms Carmen and Ms Sammy the Director are all very approachable and visible for parents and families to see. The Celebration of Nations that the school did in April was a great opportunity for them to engage the school community and as parents we were able to connect with the staff and had an opportunity to see the VPK students perform. It was an interactive immersive cultural experience that myself and my family enjoyed. I would 10/10 recommend this Childcare Facility to anyone looking in the San Marco/Riverside Area. It has a great playground for the kids and the staff treat your children like family.

We send our 18 month old to the San Marco location. The transition from being home with us for 1.5 years to starting daycare was rough, like 3 days of him nonstop screaming rough. The staff at Chappell could not have been more helpful! They kept our hopes up that he would adapt and thrive, and he did. He is greeted so warmly every morning by all the teachers and he can't wait to start his daily art activity. Being able to livestream the classroom and have photos sent to us through the app is such a plus. Not to mention, the campus is beautiful being right on the river. Had 3 people recommend this school/daycare to us. So grateful they did and that our son got a spot.

My child has been attending Chappelle for 4 years and I have been pleased with the care he's received. The staff is kind and consistent and updates are received many times each day about what my child is doing. We also have access to cameras to view his classroom and playground. He is excited to go to Chappelle each day and enjoys his time there and each of his teachers and the support staff. The location is amazing too.
