What Parents Say
Chappell @ FSCJ South Campus receives mixed reviews with strong praise from most parents but serious concerns from others. Many parents highlight caring staff, engaging activities, and daily communication, while others report inadequate supervision, inappropriate teacher behavior, high illness rates, and poor care in the toddler room.
My daughter loves going to school every morning. Ms. Shawn has the absolute best staff in town. I trust this facility whole heartedly to care for my child.
I have been to a few daycares lately after removing my kids out of the one they were in for a long time, it has been hard for my 3 year old to transition in other centers, we came across Chappells at south campus, and I can’t say enough great things, from the front desk, director, the teachers have been one in a million. My daughter loves her teacher Keisha, she tells me everyday how much fun she had. Hate I didn’t find sooner.
My son loves it there. Of couse your child will get sick just like adults getting sick from other adults. If people don't expect their child to get sick then they must be hermits that never leave their house. South campus was cool. All meals provided and water coolers My son will start there soon. He is currently at Kent which is nice but not as many amenities and it's closing 😣 for the summer. Shawn is awesome too. Actually they have all been great instructors.
Most of the staff are very sweet and professional. The director makes sure that everyone is taken care of. The daycare is a separate building all together from the college, so it allows for a safer environment than the other locations in my opinion. They are willing to help you with children who made need extra help in class. Two kids currently attending.
My daughter spent a few months here and at first we absolutely loved the teachers and the staff. The students were diverse and at face value, the staff was kind and parents were allowed to pop in on the children at any time. Thank God we did! My father walked in on a teacher telling my two year old daughter to "shut up and go back to bed!" There was a sense of betrayal (we trusted this teacher!) and needless to say, we took her out and haven't been back since. My daughter was constantly sick, the two year old room was chaos and the children to adult ratio for two year olds is way too high, my daughter would start yelling and crying as soon as she saw the building. I would NOT recommend this daycare to any parent who's child is not old enough to communicate fully.
