Champions has been inconsistent and pretty much unreliable since school has started. The first two months were great, with an amazing teacher. Once she left it was a hit and miss if the workers showed up on time (or at all), then it closed with very little notice until further notice due to no workers. I’m told that February 28th is a tentative return date, but I’m also told it could be extended out longer. At this point we have been without child care for 6 weeks with no openings in other daycares due to limited slots and covid restrictions on late enrollments. A school program should be reliable, and thus far it is not, and the rate is the same as when he was going to full time preschool at KinderCare.
This after school program has been a huge help. The people are great and the end time is amazing so I don’t have to leave work early.
