The Nest in Clayton is truly amazing! This daycare not only provides great hands-on care with the kids, but also makes you feel at home and loved as a parent. The staff genuinely care for your child like their own. The updates and pictures they send throughout the day bring so much peace of mind especially for those of us working full-time. I highly recommend The Nest! I’ll definitely be enrolling my new baby coming in February to join their sibling here.

We are so happy with the care we have received at The Nest! Our son loves his class and the friends he’s made. The center is always clean, the teachers are super friendly and they are reliable in their communication! We are so happy with our daycare choice!!

Where to even begin! Everyone knows what the daycare search is like—dozens of calls, visits, and waitlists. We had actually set up a different daycare way in advance like everyone tells you. It was a Friday afternoon and I was returning to work after my maternity leave on the following Monday. That’s when we get the bomb from the daycare: we skipped you by accident. I’m an elementary school teacher, so delaying wasn’t an option. Calling The Nest was the first phone call I made after constantly looking at their site, somehow always having a feeling that we should’ve started with them from the beginning. When I spoke with Ms. Susan on the phone and heard the words “we have one spot and here’s what we’re going to do..” it set the tone for our time so far at The Nest. My daughter started at 4 months and we’ve been there just over a year now. Seeing my daughter grow in her confidence, saying hi to literally every employee there (who all also know her name!), getting to see all the activities she’s doing and what she’s learning about—it makes my teacher heart happy. Whenever we’ve had questions, the teachers have always been happy to offer suggestions (like transitioning from a bottle, encouraging more solids). The Nest makes me feel so secure knowing my child is not only safe and looked after, but also cared for and a desired member of the school community. So if you’re like me who obsesses over reading reviews, take this one to heart!

Disheartening experience with staff at school. Please see extended review below. Essentially an incident we believe was not handled properly was escalated to the point where we took our children out the school. Advice to staff: listen to parents concerns and actively take action to regain trust. Don’t listen to combat, listen to understand and work with parents to create an environment to help children in these crucial years of development.

I’ve been absolutely blown away by the level of care and attention my child receives at The Nest School on Mechanical. From day one, the staff has made us feel welcome and part of a close-knit community. The caregivers are warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in my child’s growth and happiness. The environment is clean, safe, and full of enriching activities that keep my little one engaged and excited to go each day. I love how they blend fun with learning—I’ve seen noticeable improvements in my child’s social skills and curiosity. Plus, the regular updates and photos give me peace of mind knowing my child is thriving while I’m at work. I couldn’t ask for a better place for my child to grow and learn!
