Caritas Kids Cottage INC

We loved Caritas Cottage for our two girls! Both of our kids LOVED this daycare and their teachers. I trust this daycare and it is ran by the most loving trust worthy people. We miss this daycare dearly and only left due to moving states. A few things we loved about this daycare were they are very structured, can’t beat the hours their open (6-6), strict on biting/hitting/etc (contact the parents and discuss at pick up as well), make the kids great meals at the daycare for breakfast and lunch, always open except for a few holidays, great playground for the kids, my kids learned a little bit of Spanish, great learning environment and the teachers treated our babies like their own. Truly could go on and on about this daycare.

We met with the director for a tour of the facility, and overall, it was a good meeting. However, we were repeatedly told that this is a large daycare, implying they are not struggling for business. Initially, we were considering just two days a week since our child’s grandparents also wanted to help with care. A week after our visit, we called to ask about switching to full-time instead of two days. They told us they had received multiple inquiries about the spot and that we needed to pay $100 to secure it. When my wife went to pick up the enrollment paperwork, she felt pressured to pay the $100 on the spot. At no point did they mention that this payment was non-refundable. It was only after paying that we saw the non-refundable policy in the paperwork. About a week and a half later, we decided to have our child's grandparents provide full-time care instead and informed the daycare. When we asked about a refund, they told us they had never had anyone back out before. Despite the fact that we never submitted the enrollment paperwork or officially enrolled our child, they refused to return our $100. Given that they repeatedly emphasized how busy they are, it’s disappointing that they would hold onto a payment from a family that never even finalized enrollment. A business of this size, especially one that claims they’ve never had a family back out before, should have no issue refunding such a small amount. We shouldn't have had to ask for our money back, let alone be denied. This entire situation—and the pressure sales tactic—could have been avoided with more transparency and better business practices to avoid me even writing this review.

We have been here for years with many different situations come up and have been really impressed with how the staff has responded and cared for our child. Couldn't recommend higher.

This place was a true godsend to us!! We went through some unexpected issues with my son’s daycare and we were in need of temporary care. I called one other daycare who recommended this place and when I called I spoke to Miss Jessica who made me feel so at ease! She said they could definitely do a drop in rate of $50/day and that evening I met them and took a tour. Their processes at the daycare were explained to me in great detail. A tour was provided and I spent some time talking with Miss Jessica. I would highly recommend this place for daycare needs. Wish I had found them sooner!!

My two children have been attending this facility for the last 2 years and we are greatly pleased with their services. From the first interaction with the owner when considering this facility she was very nice and even excited to show off her facility and providers. Even with short notice she was able to give me a thorough tour of the facility and happily discussed her child care philosophy and journey. I love their location, building, indoor gym area and their separated age specific playgrounds. They have always had good communication with us and the kids show growth in their development with the curriculum they follow. When my oldest started kindergarten they were able to offer before and after care and I got to keep my children together for an easier pick up and drop off. I have never experienced anything that would create doubt in their excellent care and though my family has benefited from military Child Development Centers across the country over the years, Caritas Cottage has definitely surpassed them all. I would absolutely recommend this place to any of my friends or family.
