Bullying during summer camp run by YMCA. A child was attacking multiple other children on multiple days and parents were not informed. Summer camp was more a cheap daycare, with my kids, describing it as being boring most of the time. This last day when I went to pick him up early They were in the vestibule Half an hour early where they would’ve stayed until parents came to pick them up over half an hour later it was 80° in that area, With multiple other programs and people walking in and out of where the kids were.
Way too small, outdated machines, and don't even bother trying to come here in January. Other times of the year it's fine, but still, the small size is a problem. They really should move to a larger building. I've had no issues with staff but there doesn't seem to be much oversight on members. I've dealt with machine hogs on more than one occasion during prime time. At this point I just stick with the Bethlehem YMCA. It's closer to where I live, but this one is on my way home from work. I'd rather travel a little more for a less stressful experience. This location doesn't seem to have a very high budget and it shows.
Great place! Good atmosphere.
Absolutely terrible!! The staff engages with children- no one is monitoring the kids in the gym- grown adults are calling children names and pushing them and aren't being held accountable because they are members- they hold children more accountable for defending themselves against verbal and physical attacks from adults- Toni, Melissa and Leonard clearly should not hold the positions they hold. I wouldn't give this place my money or even waste my time going here. I will be contacting higher up as well as getting in touch with certain officials concerning the b.s. that goes on in this establishment.
Staff hides behind the desk, no oversight on patrons; so, you have to clean equipment before use. Bathrooms/showers are filthy and often out of order. Cardio equipment is outdated. Cost of membership is extremely high; not Military, Veteran or 1st Responder Friendly. Membership discounts cut in 1/2 for the services with less than 1 mos notice via a very confusing letter that lead people to believe they were actually getting a discount, claiming they're trying to help the community. However, village of Coxsackie residents' continue to receive a steep discount in excess of 50%.
