Morning prayer service was awesome. Sabbath school was an learning experience and the worship service was full of praise.

Today, I visited this church for the first time. The people are extremely friendly and welcoming. However, I could not believe it was an Adventist church, from the format of the service. It was LOUD, the drums, people getting up and shouting "alright" and clapping hands. There was NO reverence exhibited there. The Spirit of Prophecy condemns that behavior. There must be REVERENCE in His presence, not that disturbing noise that could run the Holy Spirit from the place. Obviously they are catering to the youth, trying to keep them in the church, but if you have to bring the worldly musical beat into the church to hold their attention, it may suggest that the youth is not grounded. The "Trick or Treat" sermon was quite nice though. If ever I were to visit again, not sure though, I will wait until after midday only to hear the sermon. They could cut out all that contemporary music and sing from the Hymnal. That music does not cater to a spiritual connection.

Great atmosphere, nice people that care for their community by showing the love to Jesus in actions. Last week the Pathfinder club (teenagers based ministries..) support the needy people of the community by donating free fish fry dinner, while they were fundraising for a specific cause. I recommend to give it a visit and you will feel loved by godly people.

I've been a member of this church since I moved to va in 2006. It's a bible believing church that promotes evangelism and community. There are many ministries for all ages to get involved in to become integrated with the body of Christ. The people here have become my family! This is also the site for the Calvary Adventist School and Early Learning Center.
