I went to the 11am service and once again pastor Philip Jr didn't let me down I really like his style it's not so intense. I am an older Christian mbr for years so trust me you get the same food as pastor Philip Sr just served on a different plate love the music that is really soothing thank you for your leadership and being the spiritual guidance I need
Good sermon with lord of bible verses and they mention Jesus Christ YES The praise team was jammin too. Passed thru while helping my lil bro move so since I wasn’t at my home church this did not disappoint If your spiritual battery is low from all the drama in the world and u want to reconnect thru the word visit this spot
My family and I are new to this area and are looking for a home church. I visited Calvary Christian Center this past Sunday. The worship was wonderful but my biggest concern was that the pastor was using both the Message and the Passion translations of the bible. The Message translation contains New Age mysticism according to reputable bible scholars. The Passion translation is questionable with respect to textual accuracy, with non-biblical scholars playing fast and loose with the original languages then masquerading it as an accurate and authentic translation. Maybe the leadership is unaware of this but I can't take chances when it comes to my spiritual health. Don't get me wrong the pastor taught truth but the source of scripture is so questionable that I don't think I'll be returning to this church unless they renounce and stop the use of these two translations of the scriptures. May they seek the truth about this because their flock follow their lead.
