What Parents Say
Callan Rose Early Learning Center in Parker, Colorado receives highly polarized reviews. Five parents praise the caring staff, child development, and welcoming environment, while three parents report serious concerns including safety issues, inadequate staffing, poor facility maintenance, lack of communication about injuries, and unprofessional management responses.
My kiddos have attended for years and LOVE Callan Rose. The staff are all so kind and the director is amazing! They always bring home fun projects (my favorites are the Mother’s Day and Father’s Day things!) and they can’t wait to tell me about their day. Highly recommend!
If you love your kids don’t sent them here. The kids get served tiny servings of rotten food, the playground is full of broken dangerous equipment and snakes that the director couldn’t care less about. The facility is disgusting, the director wants your money without supporting her staff and offering decent care or maintaining the facility. There’s also no academic structure so you’re not doing your little ones any favors by taking them here.
My son goes here and it brings me such comfort knowing I can drop him off at a place he feels safe! He is with Mrs. Kristen and just glows when he sees her. He is hitting milestone at a great rate and has advanced so much since going here. We have also interacted with Gina, Kara, Tammy, and Ashlyn and love them all. I am so grateful for Callan Rose
I’m a first time mom and single so I didn’t have a lot of help, they were able to accept Elbert county CCCAP and got my son in right away. His teachers Miss Nadia and Ms. Desiree are so amazing and so kind. They welcomed us with open arms and take such great care of my 5 month old son. I was a little scared to put him in daycare at first but bring him here was the best decision I’ve made for us both. They work with him on meeting his milestones and I couldn’t be more grateful for them
Better daycare options exist! I’ve visited this daycare a few times. It was not as clean as expected and seemed understaffed. No one asked who I was or introduced themselves freely, which I thought concerning for any true security purposes. I have a relative here who’s parents are dealing with family law pending court after the mom hid the baby from a military dad for many months. Staff listened to Mom only and automatically mistreated dad without knowing any real facts. I suspect this is not a good place for respecting dads or treating dads equally as valued parents. Violation of dads parental rights become of concern when experiencing ongoing unprofessional staff behaviors (such as another parent review listed). Mom selected this daycare choice for her convenience without dads knowledge or approval. No reason existed for staff to mistreat any dad. They don’t know the personal or legal facts for any pending family court to jump on any bandwagon of hearsay. Their actions were just unprofessional. The need for more staff was seen in state reports. Sadly, if going ahead means hiring angry single moms as so called teachers to hang out, gossip & alienate good dads is considered acceptable staff, I suspect this is a daycare in serious decline. Be aware that some so called teachers were not actually prepared with current first aid/ cpr or licensed teachers. No RN oversight for medical or teacher credentials were provided when asked. Another parent listed trouble with Teacher G (who recently went to another local daycare). Teacher G even came across as being defensive for no reason…Possibly from CR’s prior history of investigation and state rating unknown by parents previously. The CDC State licensing specialists refers Colorado Shines to see a history of 16-18 violations at Callan Rose of Parker CO in a couple years, & to current 10/2023. The state rating scale of 1-5 only gave this daycare a #1 rating which is a given for being licensed. Training allows increased ratings - as seen at the CS website. Plus CR had a prior history of probationary action from the state in the past. Obviously the administration must demand staff respect for all parents equally and become aware of their poor behind the scene staff behaviors. Check out the states rating of this daycare at the “Colorado Shines” website. Yes, every inspection rating, investigation or action can be found there. Do your homework as any good parent would!!
