Merryhill School

Issue we experienced was the class ratio. The standard ratio was 1 to 5 but it was very normal to see one teacher attending to 10 children sometimes more in the morning. In the infant room with helpless little babies..Our regular drop off time was between 8:30-9. On numerous occasions, when I saw the class being such a mess and out of control, I had to stay with my child until the other teacher gets in; which meant being late. I addressed my concern to the management multiple times. What we noticed then, was that every time the director or one of her staff members sees me walking through the door, she'd go running to my kid's classroom to balance the ratio and watch the classroom until the teacher arrives. They treat there employees horrible, like slaves. The turn over is ridiculous. As well as many other problems.

We've been part of this school for 6+ years and it's been a great experience. We almost left before the new and now current administration turned it around. There are many longterm teachers/care providers that I can remember taking care of our 3 month old baby who is now 7. Having longterm folks is very reassuring which also goes for the consumer base too. We are still part of the school and couldn't be happier. I don't freakout about the safety or education of my child. The principle Brittany and vice principle Kelsee work very hard to keep the kids, staff, and parents balanced & happy. I receive daily updates via e-mail with photos of my daughter discussing their snacks, naps, curriculum, etc. giving me the opportunity to build on my child's education once at home. I've checked out every school in town - my wife made me ;) and I would highly encourage you to stop in and take a tour or just sign up today! Thank you Merryhill!
