Do you like finding buried treasure? Place your child in a CVUSD school and you'll find buried treasure in every student, staff, hallway, classroom and even in your own child's eyes. Looking for a real-world, economically and technologically relevant curriculum? Here, everyone (parents, teachers, students, staff, random community members.... literally EVERYONE) is exposed to so many in-school/off-campus/at-home opportunities for STEAM learning and career-building (Yes, for kids!!) unlike I've ever seen growing up or anywhere else. Worried about diversity? Not a problem here (check the stats). :)) Feeling disconnected from your little one's learning? They have an abundance of in-class/online mediums (or apps) for progress reporting and quick teacher interaction that allow "hands-on" parents to get more involved in their child's educational development! I swear, they have everything but a Starbucks ;)
Update: Have tried reaching out AGAIN with zero help. I don’t know why this district doesn’t care about it’s students but something has to be done IMMEDIATELY! My son has been in distance learning for a few weeks now. The Zoom links he has being given keep asking for a password. The teachers and the school do not have a password to provide. Tried to reach the IT department and was met with an unhelpful and flat out rude employee by the name of Beatrice. Was placed in an hold loop for 56 minutes & 39 seconds to some unknown line by Gabriela Lopez. Tried to file a complaint regarding service and was brushed off. Tried to reach out to the Superintendent and was told by his assistant that I needed to contact the school for assistance and that he was unavailable to help. Looking into different districts from my son since CVUSD does not want to teach students.
The school district special education department ( Dawn Friesen) has done extremely well by my son . I haven't loved a couple of the schools themselves but I believe the district has done their best by my child.
Awesome place to visit. Every one is very respectful and nice.
They were very helpful and the staff was so nice.
