What Parents Say
NEXT GENERATION EDUCATIONAL CENTER receives mixed reviews with stark contrasts. While some parents praise the care and staff like Ms. Sarah, multiple reviews from former employees and observers describe serious concerns about management practices, staff treatment, and classroom conduct.
By far the most dysfunctional and toxic work environment I’ve ever experienced. There is a lot of pressure to make things look good for parents but behind the scenes just about every teacher is miserable - hence the extremely high staff turnover rate. The staff is treated and paid like garbage. There is a constant overhang of power and control by the higher ups. Every little thing you do (including what you wear) is scrutinized. The owner will literally sit at home and watch the cameras and then call the school to ask why you’re sitting down or why you’ve been outside longer than your scheduled time. The owner also has zero hands on experience working with children. She makes demands about the curriculum, which make no sense to any teacher who understands developmentally appropriate practices. They do mandatory irrelevant trainings on school holidays. Kids are constantly shuffled around classrooms to meet ratio. Teachers are sent home hours early from their scheduled time if there’s “not enough kids”. Honestly I could go on and on about how absurd things are, but I will just say by the time I got out of there I wasn’t sure I even wanted to teach anymore. I would never recommend anyone work or bring their children here.
No preschool curriculum, low educational materials available to children. No proven assessment tools for different ages. No staff/professional development for teaching staff. Director not allowed by owner to conduct group staff meetings or general parents meetings. Owner extreme micromanaging including songs children sing on holidays. No access to video camaras in classrooms for Director or parents. Only owner watching from home. Very hard working teachers but not valued. Kudos for Ms Maryam 😊and the rest!! struggling to get masking tape for daily uses. High hopes and ideas when start working there, but "quality of care" not in the owner s interest
My child doesn’t go here but I work behind the building and have a clear view of the playground. I would never send my child here after seeing how the teachers act. One teacher got mad at a little toddler playing with a toy and yanked the toddler off the toy, and threw (i mean literally THREW) the toy into a shed and just yelled very loud and abrasive at the toddler. The poor toddler was crying so loud I could hear it from in our office. I understand disciplining kids but if any one ever treated my daughter the way I seen this abrasive woman treat that kid I’d be having more than a nice chat with the teacher. My heart feels heavy for that poor little girl and all the others little children there.
Great childcare experience especially Mss. Sarah in the 2's classroom.
I never recommend it send the kids to this place
