I am a student at BHBC and could never feel more at home with the amount of friends I've made, the memories I've made, and how much closer I've gotten to GOD. I have been going here ever since I moved to Powder Springs, and I love it. I have gotten baptized here as well, and my deacon (Clay Hitchcock,) was one of my softball friend's dad, and my sister's former softball coach. He was very sweet and I would not be baptized by anyone else. At my baptism appointment, one of the kid's ministers, Josie Brown, helped me to understand what baptism was like and it could never have been clearer. I have never, ever found another place that made me feel more safe and at home while worshiping GOD. Everyone who works in this church is extremely blessed and absolutely deserves everything amazing.
We’ve visited twice, it’s a big church, and it feels like there’s an excitement in the air, I like that feeling.
My husband and I had a plan to church hop after moving into the area to find our new home church. After one visit, we never tried another church. We knew we were home. I can’t brag enough on the people I have met and served with. Its a great church to attend.
During the COVID years our previous church split, we visited two other churches for a while and one Sunday visited BHBC. The kids begged to come back and I felt at home there. I was amazed at all the faces I recognized from our other activities and around the community. Now, about a year and a half later, we are totally engaged with activities and serving. My children and I have made friends we do life with. It is like any other place on earth and not perfect, but the overall culture of the church is accepting and loving. Pastor Matt teaches the word accurately which is most important. We are a biracial family and color diversity is something we would like more of, but our children feel welcomed and loved and to us, that is important.
God's presence can truly be felt here. Wonderful Christmas service.
