Burlington Children’s Space is child and family centered, diverse, and WHOLESOME learning community. As an 30 year licensed early educator, I would send my own child there happily. Child-teacher ratios are the best I’ve seen in Burlington, as they value relationships. Song, dance, nutrition and outdoor experiences provide a rich background for a thriving, joyful community. Literacy, math, and science are integrated into play. This place is a treasure and a model for excellence in early education.
The teachers and staff at BCS were just awesome for both of my kids. I loved the detail they communicated about my kids’ activities & daily experience! My younger kid had some sensory issues and they were awesome about finding resources for her and incorporating them into her routine. Would give more than 5 stars if I could!
We are so lucky to be with BCS. It is a tight knit community with high quality education. The teachers and staff are very involved and considerate of each child. I will be sad to have my child move on! But the positive impact will last for years to come.
We are a BCS family and have been so happy with the care they provide. The teachers are so warm and really know their stuff. We’ve learned a lot from them that we take home with us! Our baby clearly loves the creative, sensory activities they plan for the class each day. Just as important is that naptimes seem to go really well, so we have a well-rested baby by the afternoon. We appreciate the open and frequent communication both from the teachers and other BCS staff. BCS offers tuition on an income-scale which reflects their commitment to serving all families. We love that there is a cook on the staff who prepares healthy meals and engages the older children in preparing them. BCS has a wonderful community feel - I highly recommend it!
Our family's relationship started with Burlington Children's Space over 12 years ago when our first child, then one, started at BCS. His first two teachers are still there today and remain important relationships for our family! Since then both of our children were at BCS through age 5 when then entered kindergarten, and we have remained involved with the school in a number ways. BCS is a special place. It is a rich, nurturing, inclusive community where children are respected and taught the values of community. We have seen BCS's focus on social emotional learning really benefit our children and their peers. Every child deserves a BCS!
