What Parents Say
Feedback for BRIGHTSIDE ACADEMY EARLY CARE & EDUCATION highlights a mix of convenient amenities and significant operational concerns. One parent notes reasonable pricing and ample play spaces, while another reports severe health issues and food safety violations affecting their child.
My son attended this daycare for over a year, and I can confidently say that while the daycare has both pros and cons; they are not a bad place to take your child. Below is a breakdown of my experience: Cons: -My son's personal information, including his HIPAA details, was lost twice due to staff changes. I would strongly recommend emailing all important documents to avoid this issue. -When my son first started, the daycare’s hours were from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, which didn’t provide much flexibility for working parents, especially those with full-time jobs. I believe the hours have since been adjusted to 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. -There was a consistent issue with staff shortages, often resulting in morning texts from the daycare informing parents that their child might not be accepted due to this shortage. -While there were many good teachers, I did not feel comfortable with two particular staff members. One of them in particular raised concerns due to her harsh tone towards the children. I was close to reporting her at one point. -Staff frequently expressed dissatisfaction with their pay, which I felt impacted their moods at times. -There were often short-notice in-service days or half days, which made scheduling difficult for parents. Pros: -Easy parking and convenient location. -Reasonable childcare prices for the area. -Three meals and snacks are provided daily. -The daycare offers two energetic play areas for children: an indoor gym and a closed-off outdoor play area. -They hire moms, which allows their children to attend the center as well. While this has its benefits for staff, I personally didn’t always agree with children being in the classroom with the mom. -The center allows support services to come in, which is a positive for families needing additional assistance. -The center had a dedicated janitor who maintained the facility well. Overall, while my experience was more on the positive side. I would like to give special recognition to Ms. Paris and Karen. These two ladies were exceptional, and made my son feel comfortable.
