What Parents Say

Brighton Academy receives overwhelmingly positive reviews praising the caring staff, curriculum quality, and child development outcomes. However, two negative reviews from a former teacher and a terminated parent raise serious concerns about classroom overcrowding, state ratio violations during inspections, and dismissal practices.

My daughter and son both went to Brighton Academy starting at the infant room. We truly love all the staff there and loved how much they loved our children. I am only giving 3 stars because the way we were terminated. People are saying I should file a lawsuit, but I don’t want to get into that. I thought the owner, Jackie, truly cared about my children..but apparently money means more to her. She literally said “we can be fined or terminate childcare and we are choosing to terminate childcare.” I was heartbroken to tell my 4 year old daughter, who has been there since the infant room, that she and her brother have to go to a new school. It clearly seems like she’s only all about the money.

Great place. My son loves it. His speech took a huge leap as soon as he started around 18 months. He has friends he looks forward to seeing. He hugs his teachers on arrival. He’s potty trained now thanks to them as well. He’s 2 and a half and can say the pledge of allegiance, a b c’s, knows most nursery rhymes. Staff is super friendly, place is beautiful and clean. Highly recommend.

Let me first by saying this was the BEST school I think my kids have ever went to. From the front to the back I give Brighton Academy a 1000 if I could. When we pcs'd back here form Louisiana I was worried if my Zoe would fit in being that she was with her previous provider for so long. When I first came I met Mrs. Amanda who was nothing else other than amazing. She gave me everything I needed and also advised me of the Waiting List. Luckily she was able to get in. Mrs. Jackie the owner was not in during the initial meeting but when we came back she too was nothing other than amazing as well. From the time she met us she explained to us what to expect. She made us feel so welcome and that we were family. Zoe connected to both of them immediately. I was so nervous to leave her but when she met her first teacher Mrs. Diane she was alright, I think Zoe felt the love. This place is amazing, if you want your child to be prepared for the next phase of their life then this is the place that you need to be. Zoe learned to count, colors, months in Japanese, Spanish, and French, the 50 presidents, how to tell time, how to count by 2's,5's,10's, etc. It amazed me at her graduation. The security is amazing, if you don't have your code or finger print you will not get in. Children are always accounted for and the teacher are always aware of the children and what they are doing. I was very happy that I could text her new teachers Ms. Miranda and Ms. Kisha if I had any questions or concerns. Zoe loved them all. I knew if she had an issue then the love would not had been so strong and she would not had LOVED it there. If ANYONE has anything to say about this place I would really be shocked due to the professionalism, love, and how these children are being prepared for the next step. I can't say it enough this place is amazing. Mrs. Jackie was so amazing to work with. Due to Zoe going to Kindergarten next year we are moving on and it is so bitter sweet. Zoe didn't get to have the goodbye she wanted so we are planning to go back up there so she can get all the hugs and kisses that she is going to miss. If you are looking for an amazing place to care for your little one Brighton Academy is the place. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Brighton we miss you already and you will always be in our life and we definitely be by to see you guys soon. Ms. Miranda Zoe gets on me everyday bc I promise to bring her by. Thank you again Mrs. Jackie for be so awesome, loving, kind, and treating us like family.

We are very happy with our decision to put our children in this Day Care. All of the teachers are super friendly and seem to really enjoy their jobs. Having been through the Infant Class, 1 yr old Class, 2 yr old A class, and 2 yr old B class, I can honestly say my children are THRIVING and have grown mentally leaps and bounds over what I could have taught them myself at home. The children in the program are ethnically diverse which is a great way to expose children to other cultures. Each month has a theme and the curriculum is built around that (and yes, the infant room also has a curriculum they work from). I highly recommend you check them out and if you are expecting get your name on the list ASAP. You won't be disappointed.

Having taught at Brighton Academy , I can attest to the quality of care your child will receive if you choose to enroll them in this facility. The number of students to a classroom is often way off the state regulated student to teacher ratio. On the day of inspection, the directors and owners of Brighton Academy actually move children to different age group classroom, in order to meet the state ratio of students per teacher and "pass". A child will not receive the one on one attention they need with a classroom size of twenty-one children under the age of three. The classrooms aren't even large enough to accommodate that number of students. At nap time we hardly had enough room for each student to lay down . There is no way for your child to receive the quality of care that they deserve in this facility. In all honesty the facility directors care more about the number of students they can get, and the amount of money they will receive, than the students in their care. It's very sad to see that so many parents entrust their precious little ones to a facility that subjects children to these kinds of conditions. They are dishonest on so many levels. and I personally would never entrust my children to Brighton Academy.
