Brighten Academy Preschool

My son has been in daycare since he was 3 months old. After touring many other child care centers, the first impression that the staff at Brighten Academy gave me is that they were happy, welcoming and actually love what they do. Something that set them apart from the other places. Anyone can provide basic child care; however, I am leaving my most precious baby with these people. I was looking for somewhere that I felt in my gut that I could trust. Because of his age at the time that we first needed care, we were forced to enroll him at another center, which we were ultimately unhappy with, but did so to hold us over until he turned 2 and was old enough to attend Brighten. Well, I am here to tell all of you parents that it was well worth the wait! From the owners, directors, teachers and even the maintenance guys… they all acknowledge us and have always treated us with nothing but kindness. I will walk down the hallway and have 7 people tell me to have a great day! I will continue to recommend this company to all families that are looking for a preschool that goes above and beyond!

This place is amazing. If you are trying to decide where is the best preschool for your child... hands down, Brighten Academy is the best choice. We have been attending this location for a total of 8 years (3 kids). They are extremely organized with knowing which kids have allergies and medical conditions. The staff always treat the kids as if they are their own children. Daily we are informed how their day was and if they had a minor injury we receive an "ouch report". If there is something more severe for example, playing outside and collided with a friend and bumped their head, we immediately receive a phone call at work and brief us on what happened and inform us, "there were no tears but we gave an ice pack". We also receive a follow up phone call about an hour later letting us know how they are doing. Other local daycares/preschool's in the area charge extra if your child is not potty trained by age 2. The staff here at Brighten take a team approach with you and assist in the process. The preschool aspect is incredible. Twice a year they provide you a list of what numbers, shapes, and colors they have mastered and which ones they need to work on. There is no place I can think of that genuinely cares for each and every kid they take care of and provide exceptional high level of care.

My son went here for a few months before switching over to a special needs program through CUSD and they were very nice to him as well as me. He hasn't gone to this school in months although he still brings up how he misses his old teacher Miss.Angie so she must have made a big impression on him! Angie was always super nice to me as well, I never thought twice about leaving my son in her care. There were many other nice staff members at this location too. Very nice location and great surveillance system. The few downsides to this school is your child has to be EXTREMELY well-behaved. My son struggled with his speech and he would become overwhelmed, overestimated, and feel unheard and would melt down because of it and I feel they did very little to accommodate him. Also, food quality is worse than public school lunch, was very disappointed in food quality for the price of tuition.

Best preschool, company, and teachers! My son was so prepared entering 1st grade and already reading at his exit level. You can feel the love from the moment you walk in the door, and most importantly, the kids feel it too. So grateful for Brighten Academy!

The teachers at this location are amazing!! We felt very fortunate to be accepted after waiting for 6 months. We have an only child who attended this location for 2 months. She does not get any opportunity outside of preschool to socialize with toddlers her age. Our daughter is 2 1/2. She was kicked out today unfortunately for 2 biting incidences in 1 day. We have been informed of previous close calls as well. We feel like they have given up on our little girl. We understand the liability a child that bites creates for a preschool. Also don’t want to put anyones child in a position where they come home with bite marks. But how is a child to learn or a parent to correct when this doesn’t happen at home? We feel the policy is a little harsh but also understand know body wants their child to be on the one being bitten so someone else’s child can learn a lesson. Makes you think about how vigilant are the people around you child each day. Sad day for us as parents. We feel fortunate for the progress we have seen in our little one from the help of the teachers at this location but feel like the management has given up on a wonderful little girl.
