Abc Developmental Care Center

Our son was there in July of 2022. He was always dirty his clothes were always missing. He fell in the bathroom while he was there cause no one came, he got up and slipped on the bathroom floor and cracked his head. They showered him before they called an ambulance and he was rushed to the hospital in Clovis and he was transferred to Lubbock due to a brain bleed caused by the fall. When he came back his room was full of equipment and they moved him across from the nurses station, the care didn't improve. I was told that he was incontinent from bladder and the other. He was not, probably because they never came. I was told that he would never do stairs. I brought him home and he went up 6 stairs in order to get in the house. The next morning he was able to shower go up and down the stairs. He is very independent now lives alone, can drive and keeps all his appointments on his own. He was not able to eat while there I asked for a throat test several times to find out if he could eat no responses. He had a feeding tube. When he went to Lubbock I was advised that he could eat, but the feeding tube remained on for 3 weeks. When I brought him home that feeding tube was on the verge of infection, I took him to the emergency room at the hospital the night after we got home, the tube was removed and thoroughly cleaned it didn't look good. As far as I'm concerned staff was happy as long as he was in the wheel chair or in bed. After the fall they treated him like one of the helpless patients. I don't know how they get away from with complying with the Handicap accessibility. The bathroom he had certainly wasn't. they said it was his fault , but in all fairness the night he fell we had been there during the day and I had to change his socks 3 times because every time he went in the bathroom his socks were soaking wet, the floor was wet. I am so sorry that he had to go through all that he went through, i would not recommend that facility to anyone.

The nurses have take very good care of my sister and we’re ever so grateful to have such kind employees working at the facility!

Everyone was friendly. They help when you have questions or concerns. My mom did have an issue when during the night she pressed call button for someone to take her to the bathroom. They never came until the morning. She was wet by then. I told the head nurse and she was going to look into it. So far no issues.

Healthcare rehabilitation Center. The director introduce herself to me and she was very polite and nice. All the nurses that attended to my husband today were very nice and very polite and very gentle with my husband Jr. The hospice nurse She was nice and very polite. We are incredibly grateful for the support and professionalism we received from staff especially from Vanessa H. This was a very stressful time for our family and we wouldnt know what to do without assistance. Thank you for the exceptional service!
