My daughter attended Bright Start for three years, and our experience was truly wonderful. The teachers are caring, attentive, and genuinely know each child as an individual. They celebrate children’s birthdays, remember their preferences, and even know things like their favorite cartoon characters—which made my daughter feel so loved and seen. We also felt very confident in both the safety and the curriculum. When my daughter started kindergarten, she had no issues at all with letters or math because she had already learned a strong foundation during preschool. One thing we especially appreciated was the preschool's project-based learning. For example, the class did a unit on caterpillars and butterflies where the children got to observe the entire transformation process. The teachers guided them through daily observations, and at the end, they even released the butterflies together. My daughter came home every day excited to tell me what changes she noticed and couldn’t wait to go back to school to check on her caterpillar again. This center has been part of the community for many years and has cared for many children with dedication. I encourage families to visit, ask questions, and get to know the school firsthand. We are grateful for our time here and would recommend it.

We’ve had a wonderful experience at Bright Start — both of my children attend here, and we truly feel lucky to be part of this community. One of my children has medical needs that require daily support and close attention. The teachers have been incredibly responsible and supportive. Communication is always timely, and the classroom team even completed additional training to make sure they could help safely when needed. We also love how many fun activities the school offers throughout the year. They plan great events and even organize field trips every year. The Halloween celebration was especially fun — the kids had an amazing time. They had a Trick-or-Treat truck, face painting, and even pony riding, and everything was free. I highly recommend this daycare to any family looking for a warm, safe, and supportive environment.

I’d like to begin by saying that as an active-duty military member, I often rely on my spouse’s background in education to ensure I address concerns with discernment. Unfortunately, our experience with this institution has left much to be desired. I would like to commend the teachers for the monumental task of maintaining their classrooms despite what appears to be a clear lack of support from the front office. I truly hope the organization's response is one of thoughtfulness, and not defensive as these incidents truly deserve leadership equipped to handle the complexities of people management.and meaningful change. Throughout our time with the daycare, there were numerous occurrences that did not feel right, but we initially chose to extend grace based on the school’s responses. These incidents continued year after year, ultimately culminating in our decision to remove our son from the pre-K class. More recently, our son began coming home with noticeable behavioral changes and an overall hesitancy about attending school. At first, we attributed this to a new curriculum and normal self-confidence challenges as he developed new skills. However, he soon began referencing stomach aches during class, particularly when he accidentally dropped something, due to fear of the response. After speaking with another parent, who had also removed their child from the class, we learned their child experienced the exact same behavioral changes. To avoid an already lengthy review, our final straw occurred when there was an active investigation into a teacher’s aide who was reportedly overtly physical with children during moments of frustration, threw objects at them, and threatened them when they did not listen (for example, threatening to call the police on four-year-olds). As parents, we were never notified of these incidents, despite some of the behavior being confirmed on video. Even more concerning, the front office chose to move this aide to a younger classroom. This was seemingly an extremely irresponsible decision, placing an aide with a documented history of inappropriate behavior into a class with nonverbal children who would be unable to report incidents for themselves. The administration appeared wholly ill-equipped to address such serious matters, failing even to meet the minimum standard of notifying parents about ongoing investigations. While some families chose to keep their children enrolled due to the limited time remaining before kindergarten, we ultimately decided that we could not take that risk. While I understand and respect the organization's desire to support their staff, at what point does that support override the responsibility to prioritize the safety of the children you’ve been entrusted to protect? There appears to be a greater focus on maintaining a façade of parent communication, rather than demonstrating genuine respect for parents through transparency about unsafe environments. As a military member, I feel a responsibility to my community to make them aware of the front office’s actions and to ensure that new service members consider these issues carefully before entrusting their most precious loved ones to this school. In closing, I want to thank everyone for any positive experiences my son enjoyed in the Pre-K class. However, I would like you to please note the information I have shared with you. I hope it will enable parents to make the best possible choices as they strive to obtain quality education and childcare for their children. Please reply to let us know that this info has been shared with teachers and staff for the benefit of other parents. Happy New Year.

"I recently toured this center with my son and granddaughter, and we had an incredible experience. Ms. Mia was absolutely outstanding. She was so thorough and professional that she answered every single question I had written down before I even had the chance to ask. What really stood out to us was how welcoming she was to my family and the genuine respect she showed toward the other staff members during our tour. Seeing a team that feels valued and important made me fall in love with the environment immediately. We didn't hesitate to sign up for the waiting list. The world definitely needs more 'Ms. Mias is in childcare! Highly recommend."
