Bright Horizons Childrens Center At Kendall Square

I dropped my 11 month old son here for the day for a Bright Horizons Backup, and it was great! Beautiful spacious center. Friendly folks, and my little guy had a great day! Smooth online process to set up a backup reservation, and fill out the forms. And then I called just to check in and make sure everything was OK and they were very friendly and helpful ahead of time. It worked out great!

The first time I dropped off my son for backup care, I could see right away how happy and comfortable he felt. A month later, I enrolled him two days a week, and each time he seems happy and excited to return. During that time, we also got to know the teachers and staff, who have all been so warm, caring, and welcoming. Seeing how much he enjoys being there and how well he’s cared for has given us such peace of mind. That’s why we’ve decided to enroll him full-time starting next week. We’re truly grateful for the loving and nurturing environment you’ve created for him.

The teachers at Kendall center are wonderful! They go above and beyond to take care of the children. Even the same chain at different locations is different in many ways. The quality of service at this location in excellent right from the center director Kayla who is friendly and accommodating your requests. The center has many kids activities besides the curriculum like halloween pumpkin patch, fun activities for fund raising in summer which kids enjoy and birthday celebrations. They have never missed an app update for a single day and the teachers cover for one another when someone is absent. My son goes to K-prep and they have a very structured curriculum tailored for kid/s and truly care for the children and love their job which is crucial.

We have been at this center for almost 4 years, currently with two children. I am writing a review to say how well the staff and administration are doing with COVID-19 safety regulations. We are so glad to have the teachers at Bright Horizons Kendall Square watching over our children every day, and we feel it is safe, clean, and extremely well-regulated. The parents are well informed about any updates, and any changes are clearly communicated. The safety of the children and staff is a primary concern --- and my kids are not at all bothered by the additional regulations in place. They missed Bright Horizons when the state was locked down for a few months, but the teachers went above and beyond to keep in touch with the families. Now that everyone has returned, my children are thrilled. We are so happy to be a part of the Bright Horizons Kendall Square family. Even before the pandemic, it was obvious that the teachers truly love the kids and enjoy spending time with them. My children have learned so much, and more importantly, have been happy each day.

You get lucky and it has been so nice so far until there is a new kid in a class who scratches many kids in the class. The center will then bring in the regional manager to tell the parent of the kid who got 5 scratches on the face (with one very close to eye) and observed that the new kid trying to poke his eyes first hand! to find new daycare if we expected no injuries!!!!! Well done! They have a nice and new facility but seriously need new manager or better way to handle a situation.
