What Parents Say
Bright Horizons at Old Town Alexandria receives consistently high praise from parents across all age groups. Parents highlight the nurturing, patient teachers, strong developmental outcomes, and warm environment that makes children excited to attend. The center is noted for reliable communication, extended hours, and a welcoming atmosphere for both children and families.
We’ve had a wonderful experience at this daycare center. My son came in as a very energetic, strong-willed toddler, and the growth we’ve seen has been incredible. His vocabulary has completely taken off, and his ability to communicate and follow instructions has improved so much. He also learned how to follow a routine, which has made our home life easier and more peaceful. The teachers have been consistently nurturing, patient, and supportive. They truly understand young children and know how to guide them with kindness. We’re very grateful for the care, structure, and encouragement they’ve given him. It’s a place that genuinely helps children thrive.
We can’t say enough amazing things about Bright Horizons OTA! Our daughter started in the infant room this summer at seven months old, and we were immediately impressed by the warmth and professionalism of the school. She absolutely fell in love with her teachers, Ms. Beth and Ms. Pam, and was always so happy to see them each morning at drop-off. As first-time parents, there are few things more anxiety-provoking than leaving your baby in someone else’s care, but the love, attentiveness, and incredible care they provided made the transition so much easier. We felt completely confident that our daughter was safe, nurtured, and truly cared for every day. We are so sad to be leaving as we move away, but we will always hold our time at Bright Horizons OTA dear to our hearts. We’re certain that the care and love from her teachers left a lasting impression on our girl. Thank you for everything!
My oldest started K-prep here at 4 yrs old before going to kindergarten after having previously been at a preschool that just ran with the school year 9AM-2PM and my middle child started here at 2 years old since we had to go back to work in office and needed longer and more reliable childcare hours. Both my kids love(d) going to Bright Horizons Old Town Alexandria. They love their teachers and their friends and everyone is so kind. We will also be sending our youngest here once our parental leave is up.
My son has been there for almost a year now and he loves it! Miss Alisa and Miss Lubna are phenomenal teachers! My son adores both of them! I was really nervous starting him at daycare so young but they take such good care of him and we get constant updates through out the day that sets my mind at ease.
We joined Bright Horizons when our child was 6 months old, and truthfully we only left because we needed to be closer to family out of state. Otherwise, we would’ve stayed here for as long as possible! Everyone at Bright Horizons is so nice and welcoming. We especially loved Ms. Sam and Ms. Jina, who have become like family to us and to our child. These two are the best! We love this center so much and truly will come back with our kiddo to visit!
