What Parents Say
Parents consistently praise Bright Beginnings (La Petite Academy) West Lehi for its warm, clean environment with caring, trained staff who prioritize both learning and child development. The facility uses classroom cameras, maintains strong communication with parents, and demonstrates low staff turnover, indicating good employee treatment. Multiple long-term families recommend the center highly.
We love La Petite — and honestly, I’m half tempted to enroll myself. From the moment you walk in, you can feel how warm and welcoming it is. The teachers are incredibly kind, patient, and somehow have the superpower of staying calm while helping tiny humans navigate big feelings (and the occasional dramatic debate over whose turn it is with the blue crayon). The staff truly care about each child. They know their personalities, their favorite songs, and probably their snack preferences. I’ve seen most kids run in every morning without looking back — Clearly, they’re doing something right! The facility is always clean. I genuinely don’t know how they keep it so clean with a building full of glitter, paint, and toddlers who believe crumbs are a fashion accessory — but they do. Shoutout to Miss Anna and Miss Chelsea. The classrooms are bright, organized, and set up to make learning feel like play. While daycares are known for passing sicknesses around - this is not the case at La Petite, they take pride in sanitizing and ensuring kids are healthy and do monitor illnesses. What stands out most is the love and attention the kids receive. The teachers celebrate little victories, comfort big emotions, and somehow send them home tired (a true miracle). Communication is great, and we always feel included in our child’s growth and milestones. We have loved and appreciated our teachers (Chelsea, Anna, Natalee, Becky and Kau’ui) If you’re looking for a safe, clean, nurturing place where your child will learn, laugh, and maybe come home singing a song you’ll hear on repeat for the next three weeks — this is it. We couldn’t recommend it more! Jayme runs things with the help of Trinity excellently!
We love La Petite! We recommend it to everyone we know! The staff, management, and teachers are wonderful. We love that they have a learning focus so we know that our kids will be spending their day learning and not just sat in front of a screen. We love that they have cameras in their classrooms so we can login and check on our kids throughout the day and they send us updates and fun pictures of what they are doing. There are also many teachers that have been here since we started 3 years ago, which I think says a lot about how they treat their employees because daycare centers usually have notoriously high turnover rates. We have nothing but good things to say about our experience here and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for great childcare with learning based classrooms.
We have absolutely loved it here! We started our daughter at La Petite 3+ years ago and when she left for Kindergarten her younger sibling started to attend. They are very organized and focus on learning, even for younger ages! We’ve had great experiences with all our teachers as well. Would definitely recommend for someone looking for child care!
We've been so blessed to find La Petite. Being a full time working mom, it's always hard to leave my baby in other people's hands, but I truly feel like our little girl has been taken care of so well and loved by staff more than we could ask for. From the start, we've been so impressed by the structure La Petite provides, the fun they integrate in everything they do, and the attention to detail they've put into caring for our daughter. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, safe, and impressive daycare for their child. Thank you guys so much for everything you do!
My bonus baby’s time at La petite in Lehi started out well but went down hill since the beginning of this year. There was a change in management earlier this year and since then the issues started. Incident reports went for weekly to daily occurrences. Communication from the teachers (and I use the term loosely) was not happening. Daily questions from dad and mom of how our sons day went, was answered with, it was good, he had a good day nothing happened but here’s an incident report. About a month to a month before we dis-enrolled him a teacher stated that every child was placed on a behavior plan and it was started a few days prior to communicating it to the parents. Later that week another teacher said it was just our son due to his behaviors after giving me another incident report. I asked why it was not communicate to us prior and what was going on. I then received the run around and no real answers except to speak to the front desk person. There wasn’t a front desk person when I went in but I did run into her on the way out in a hallway not at the desk. Same questions and again no answers. I did let dad know and we began watching the cameras more closely. There is also another problem that escalated into restraining and secluding our son with out supervision. The teacher stated that they would strap him into a high chair so he didn’t eat off of other kids plates or the floor. After watching the cameras we saw where he was strapped into the high chair pushed up against the wall under the coat cubbies and not checked in for over 10 mins at a time. He would throw a fit and try to get out and almost pull the chair over. This was his time out. Again nothing was communicated to his parents. This is restraining and secluding a child and child endangerment. We did attempt to speak to management which they said they weren’t aware of any of this going on. They took the high chair out of the room and stated that the teacher was also bringing moved to a different classroom because she couldn’t handle it in the toddler classroom. This was in place before we even spoke to management. Management also stated they would schedule time for us to discuss what was happening with the teachers. After a week nothing was scheduled. Dad and I addressed concerns with the teacher that was moved when we picked him up. The teacher said he was hitting kids. She would chart that he had incidents 20 times or more a day but couldn’t tell why it was happening. She said she tried time out and hugs. Again questions were asked but weren’t answered. He did also receive an incident report that day as well. Management did talk to us again that day and admitted that they did know what all was going on and when questioned why they didn’t tell us when we spoke the last time about it she shut down and stopped communicating. The next day they called dad and stated I was not allowed to come back as the staff felt threatened and parents were concerned. I never threatened anyone, never cussed at anyone or wasnt disrespectful. Yes we were frustrated and upset by the neglectful treatment of our son which is completely understandable. We did watch closely after that while he was still attending until we could find another daycare. But the last straw where we dis-enrolled him without another place to go was the day dad got a message asking if he knew about the scratch on his thigh that they saw at 8am but notified dad at 1pm. He said no he knew nothing. Dad picked him up signed the incident report and went home. At bath time we saw the scratch. It was a bite mark that was so hard it bruised his thigh and broke skin in 4 places through his pants. This happened with in an hour of him being there with one other child in the room and a teacher. We received a total of 11 copies out of what feels like a hundred incident reports as well. We’ve requested copies of all of them multiple times. Answered with yes but only 11 were provided. If your child is in La Petite in Lehi I’d use them with severe caution and advise to look else where for childcare.
