Brierwood Child Care Of Lancaster, INC.

While I initially came to Brierwood in Lancaster because of the director Cherice and her compassion and love for the kids, I was won over by most of the teachers there. I was so hesitant about enrolling my boys in daycare but after touring the facility and speaking with the staff, I was put at such ease with this location. At this point all 3 of my kids have went to Brierwood and to this day they still want to stop in when we pass by. It has been such a amazing experience for my kids and my husband and I are so grateful to Cherice and her staff.

Other Briarwoods appear to have closed and I can say from experience that is for good reason. Do not send your children to Brierwood

The director, Cherice, is not a person of kindness or compassion. Since my son started going there, they have complained about his behavior, even threatened to have him kicked out, but failed to ever write up any incident reports. I went out of my way to have him evaluated as a way to help and they still complain. They have sent him home to me with no diaper/underwear on and on a separate occasion have sent him home to me with underwear full of poop. The director has no problems putting words in your mouth, which is extremely unsettling. And the director has no problem with sharing your personal information with others which is a huge invasion of privacy. She has threatened to sue me because I’m a few payments late, and after making a payment this week for my son, kicked him out of the center anyway.

I wouldn't give this daycare no stars the upper management are not good at there job the staff there don't do there job right there are Always on there phones and have there ipods in there ears they let the staff dress how they want to like there dressed for a club to go dancing. they leave the kids sit all day in dirty and wet diapers and wet clothes and the staff are nasty and lazy the let they kids bite and hit each other kids the food there is not healthy or good to eat the food is always cold by the time the kids get there lunch. All the kids hands and bodies are always dirty they also always have alot of over flow of garbage. All the rooms there are not cleaned and the bathroom in the classroom and in the public bathrooms are never cleaned. They are ants in every room and there are cock roaches there. There will hiring anyone off the streets. They let teenagers work in the classroom alone when there not supposed to be left alone with the kids half of the staff don't know how to teach in a classroom

Cherice (the Director) is very kind, caring and knowledgeable. We heavily researched 6 other daycare options & Brierwood is clearly the best. The staff has all been onboard for many years. This was the cleanest, safest & most professional layout of any daycare that we visited. She actually said: "we are not here to get rich. we truly care and want that to show."
