What Parents Say
These reviews do not appear to be from parents about daycare services. Instead, they describe BP Energy Center as a conference and event venue in Anchorage, Alaska. Reviews consistently praise the facility for meetings, conferences, and gatherings rather than childcare services.
Great building. Very modern and convenient. The staff culture is BROKEN…!! We have class there for three days (No other events in the room during this time). They didn’t want to let us in the room before the class was scheduled to start. The room was not set to accommodate the number of people that they had been told were attending. The staff watched as the organizers, instructors, and attendees rearranged the room and set up additional chairs and tables. At 5pm the staff stopped the class and insisted that we all leave immediately. They were open until 8pm, but because the class was scheduled from 9am to 5pm, they insisted that we all leave. On the last day when class finished the staff came into the room and informed the organizers that they must reset the room to a different configuration (group tables rather than classroom style). As the organizers and instructors moved tables and chairs, put tables and chairs away in the closet, the staff went back to the lobby to scroll their cell phones and sit at the desk. Once the room was reset the staff was quite snarky about to job that had been done to set the room up the way that they wanted. IMO this is a management culture issue with the venue. It’s incredibly poor customer service for a meeting venue. (FYI: I attend this type of a class multiple times a month all over North America.)
The venue is conveniently located in a beautiful forest oasis right in midtown. The rooms are clean and nicely appointed for simple meetings. All the staff are professional and very helpful. I've hosted and attended many meetings here and look forward to working with them again soon.
Fantastic meeting place, they have carts for the looong walk to the entry. They provided coffee and tea but with our large group, we needed it often.
Whoever took over for BP is doing a poor job of keeping up the building. The exterior is dirty, walkways messy, and overall quality of service is subpar. I'm glad non profits get to use it, but it's not the same quality.
Great space for meetings and gatherings. Highly recommend! Can also bring outside food.
