I wish I would have known about this place a long time ago! The staff here is extremely attentive to the kids who attend and you can tell they see this as more than just a paycheck. From my observations ( and I pay close attention to anyone who is responsible for caring for my children) this Center is firmly grounded in a foundation based on the growth and development of the kids they work with. Coach Joe is fantastic! He uses humor to create an environment of positivity and motivation. He is constantly encouraging the kids to challenge themselves to be better, and his staff shows the same kind of dedication. Since my son started in the after school program at the beginning of this school year, I have been impressed by the coaches that help with homework, the kindness of everyone that works there, and the generosity of this organization towards the kids and their families. I have utilized childcare at city rec centers in the past, but this place is an absolute gem! In the few months that my son has been going there, he's been presented with great opportunities for his future, including the chance to demonstrate leadership and be a positive role model for his peers. I have been approached by 3 different staff members who simply wanted to tell me how well he's doing there and how awesome he is! I haven't heard about any behavior issues, which is something I particularly look out for. They seem to be a tough love facility, but heavy on the love, which I believe is crucial when it comes to effective discipline. It is hard to find a childcare care place that holds both the staff and the attendees to such high standards. 10/10 recommend.
Ever since my son has been going there his behavior has changed for the better. The staff is nice and involved academically.
