My daughter (grade K) loves going here before and after school. The staff are awesome with her and they are always friendly to parents. Secure check-in and check-out, highly trustworthy in regards to child safety. It is a great place for kids to be able to express themselves, have fun with friends, and be in a positive atmosphere to wind down after school. Plus, dinner is provided. They recently took them to Chuck E Cheese free of charge during school break week. They genuinely care about each kid. I see some bad reviews and not many positive. Just think of the countless kids who go through the program and have nothing negative ever happen.. you won't see many reviews from parents who have no issues at all. Families in the area are very lucky to have this as an option for child care.

My grandchild was seriously injured by the actions of another child at Boys & Girls Club (BGC). BGC just put bandages on the open wound. BGC staff decided it was not necessary to call the parent. When her mother (an RN) picked her daughter up, she noticed the serious wound and took her to urgent care where she received 5 stitches. The Boys and Girls Club lack good policies like immediately notifying a parent when their child is injured. They need to stop making medical decisions as to when and if a parent needs to be called. The parent should always be called!
When Jim was there at Boys & Girls Club it was awesome. There was never any issues and everything always ran smoothly. Now there's some new person by the name of Laura who is absolutely awful and you can see clearly she can't handle all these children. She even said she was dreading bringing them to a certain field trip in front of the parents. I just want everybody to be aware because it's not like what it used to be. It's very disheartening.
Lakes Region Boys& Girls Club is where my granddaughter goes after school everyday and she loves it there! They are learning how to respect each other, how to do art, and all around have fun
