My kid went at this school for two and a half years and we were happy with the over all experience. Currently we attend the after school day care. I read the other reviews recently I think they are over blown and feel strongly need to write down one myself and express our experience as a good one! George the owner is a good and caring person. That been said there is always work to be done for improvement.
This school has been nothing but traumatic for my daughter and me. I would never recommend it to any parent. What should have been a safe, stable environment turned out to be chaotic and unprofessional. In just eight months, my daughter went through seven different teachers, and I was only notified once. Staff members came and went constantly, with no explanation and no communication. At one point, uncertified teachers were left in charge of my daughter for three months without even introducing themselves—I had to track them down myself just to know who was supervising her. That alone is a huge red flag. The instability took a serious toll on my child. Like most three-year-olds, she needs consistency, but instead she was forced to constantly adjust to new teachers. Her behavior changed, and she began having daily accidents at school—something that completely stopped once I removed her. Rather than trying to understand or support children, staff were quick to label them as “Bad” and did nothing to actually teach or guide them. Health and safety were just as alarming. My daughter contracted RSV, bronchitis, coxsackievirus, a UTI, and even pneumonia that required hospitalization—all while the school failed to notify parents about outbreaks. Yes, kids get sick in daycare, but these illnesses were severe, and we were never given the chance to make informed decisions about whether to send our kids during those times. To make matters worse, the owner never once responded to my complaints. The lack of care and accountability speaks volumes. If they can’t be bothered to address parent concerns, how can they truly care about the children? I regret not researching more before enrolling her, and I strongly urge other parents to read reviews carefully. On the surface, it may look like a good option, but in reality, it is a façade—and one that could leave lasting harm.
Our two sons love attending Bloomingdale. The staff and management has always been very kind and communicative with us and most of all, they take great care of our two kids.. Our oldest loves Miss Donna and she has been instrumental in our son's social and educational development. Our youngest isn't talking yet but always has a smile on his face when we pick him up. I recommend Bloomingdale to anyone in the area. Great hours, friendly staff and clean facility.
I was very happy with our time at Bloomingdale Daycare. My daughter was there for 4 years and enjoyed it and learned a lot. We had some issues with the center as a whole, but they were also very understanding and responded well to all of my concerns. Ms. Diana did a wonderful job helping her explore and learn as a toddler and we were lucky enough to have Ms. Karen for several years! Her love, dedication and support for the kids (and parents!) helped our family through some difficult transitions while helping prepare her for kindergarten!
We had a WONDERFUL experience here. Our daughter learned and thrived every day. We were very pleased with the daily communication and many pictures we received. Thank you for everything! We miss you already!
