I cannot say enough how perfect Kindercare on the boulevard is! Our child was at home for 7 months, a month before starting daycare they quickly got us a tour. Ever since the tour we knew this would be the place for us! All the teachers and kind/patient. The director is even more lovely! If you’re on the fence about daycare this center will easily push you towards saying yes. I don’t know what we’d do without this center! We cannot wait to see our little boy grow in the center for years to come! Thank you to all the staff and those who go unseen, you make the difference for our children. This center DESERVES to be recognized in all fronts! We’ve been so blessed and look forward to many more years!

I enrolled my 3 and 6 year old children at the KinderCare on University City Blvd in Blacksburg. The enrollment process was slow, confusing, and poorly managed. They were extremely understaffed, rarely answered the phone or emails, and communication was frustrating at best. On our scheduled start date (which was also confirmed in their app), the teachers were surprised and unprepared for my children to start. I had to take a day off work last minute because they couldn’t accommodate them. The new director was kind but very unorganized, scattered, and difficult to reach. Thankfully, the associate director later stepped in to complete the missing steps so my kids could begin the next day. There were also small but frustrating issues, like being told the kids didn’t have water bottles, even though we had brought them in on the first day (they were later found, had been misplaced). On the positive side, the classroom teachers seemed caring and communicated well during the day with pictures and updates, and my kids liked the teacher. However, my 3 year old, who still needed help with potty training, often came home with soiled underwear and hadn’t been properly helped, which was concerning. Overall, the teachers were fine, but the administration and communication from leadership were disorganized and caused unnecessary stress.

Our grandchild loves this "school" as we call it. Our grandchild has learned so much in just a few months. The staff is super attentive and amazing with children! I feel good knowing that we leave our grandchild in such capable hands while we work. ❤️

I sent my daughter to KinderCare in Blacksburg for about 4–5 months. Later, I withdrew her enrollment and even paid for the last two weeks that she didn’t attend regularly. However, after she moved up to another age group, they suddenly charged me for a completely different month far in the future — for example, I withdrew in May, but they billed me for August. Even though I explained that this had nothing to do with me and that the records clearly showed when her enrollment ended, they refused to make any correction. They even sent the issue to a collection agency for payment. We were somewhat satisfied with the 0–2 age group teachers, but the next class was not very attentive. Overall, I felt both financially and emotionally mistreated. I absolutely do not recommend this center. I hope this review stays here as a reminder for them to reflect on their mistake and treat families more fairly in the future.

My kids started at this center and they have loved going to school everyday. They are so excited to come home and tell me about what they did in class. I love that they are learning educational things while also having fun. Its comforting that their teacher communications what they are learning so I can continue their excitement for things at home and I really appreciate the pictures I receive during the day. Recently they learned about the plant cycle and now my daughter is obsessed with trees 😊.
