I toured this school to take my son too over prior to the holidays. The front office team was lovely and the Principal seemed okay. However, walking thru the classes the teachers did not seem very enthusiastic, some classes the kids seemed to be chitting chatting and not doing much. They do not have computers, electives, or anything outside the necessary means to get by it seems.

I'm writing this review as a frustrated mom who's had a terrible experience with Bethlehem Junior Academy. I had just given birth 3 weeks prior and I was under a tight deadline to find a school for my daughter, being that school was starting in about a week. Mrs. Barbara was a godsend, helping me with the enrollment process and being super kind and professional. Unfortunately, that's where the good experiences end. After a month, I had to withdraw my daughter after couple of incidents with the pick up process that made me realize this school isn't a good fit for my family. One time, I was with my newborn and it was pouring down rain. I asked the security guard (who had an umbrella) to call my daughter so I wouldn't have to get my baby out of the car, but he was super rude unhelpful and offered me no assistance. Another time, after arriving on time, I waited over 15 minutes in the blazing heat and my car unexpectedly turned off with my baby inside. Luckily for me I noticed it in time but that was the last straw. When I called to discuss negotiating payments between BJA and her new school, I spoke to Mrs. A. Nelson, the principal, who was incredibly rude. She basically told me that parents are indecisive and that I was just another parent taking my kid in and out of schools (which wasn't true). She even threatened to sue me for withdrawing my child and not finishing the year. I did everything right - returned uniforms, paid outstanding balances, and even approved the last scholarship payment. Now, I'm left with no choice but to pay for my daughter's new school out of pocket because the principal is being vindictive and wants to keep the whole second quarter payment. It's clear she’s more concerned with money than doing what's right. Im not even asking for the full payment only a portion to assist with the new schools tuition. I'm disappointed and frustrated, and I hope no other parents have to go through this. One star, and that's being generous.

I have nothing but good to speak of Bethlehem Preschool. My Daughter started when she was two and has been attending for a year now and she has advanced drastically. Within 6 months of attending she was fully potty trained. She LOVES her teachers Ms. A and Ms. Joy, all she does is talk about them. I have truly appreciated how the teachers keep me informed of her progress and areas where she needs to improve. The fact that my child goes to a school where Jesus is the foundation is a big plus for me. It gives me peace of mind knowing my child is getting the same foundations I got when I grew up in Jamaica. The education here is a cut above the rest and I am so glad I found this school. I definitely recommend!

I cannot put into words how great Bethlehem Academy has been for my daughter Lehlana! Since she started she has greatly improved in all areas such as reading, writing and mathematics. Her mannerism has improved as well with the Etiquette Class offered at the school with Ms. Jackie. The teachers are very hands on and communicative about areas of opportunities we can work on at home. My daughter loves school and her teachers Ms. Ariel, Ms. Dorothy, Ms. Beverly she talks about them everyday when she comes home from school. I wish I had started her sooner and will certainly be enrolling my son when he gets to the starting age. I can’t wait to take on the remaining school years at Bethlehem and watch my children blossom academically with poise and confidence. Thank you guys so much for your hard work and dedication. I highly recommend reaching out and enroll your child here!

What can I say about this school? As a parent, giving my child a great education has always been a top priority. My daughter started at this institution when she was almost 3 years old, and it has truly been the foundation on which her values and success were built. This school, along with its dedicated teachers, helped mold my daughter into the academic force she is today at 17. She attended from preschool all the way through 8th grade, and when she transitioned to high school, she was more than prepared—ranking 24th out of 545 students at Nova High School. I would recommend this institution to any parent who wants the absolute best for their child long-term. I’m especially thankful for Miss Pat—fondly known to many as the heart and drive behind the school. As direct and firm as she may be, her passion for the students and their success is unmatched. She always puts the children first and never compromises when it comes to their growth and education. My daughter is now attending university on a full scholarship and earned her associate degree at just 17 years old. It all started with the foundation laid at this school. This is my honest opinion: if you give your child the best now, they will thank you later.
