This is the Church I grew up in! Great memories from the 60's & 1970's of VBS, Royal Ambassadors, Sunday school, great preaching and teaching. I got saved and baptized there. They had a real Choir, a piano and organ, a men's ministry that showed up and mowed the lawn and performed needed church maintenance, painting carpentry ect. Dad and I always showed up. We had monthly Wednesday night fellowship pot luck meals, an excellent southern gospel quartet called the kings men and many fine soloists! we lived a few houses down the street. Dad who was an usher and I used to do a walk around security check on the church every evening.
The people were great. No issues, just pull up your car will be filled with groceries.

There is a such thing as Gods love and Jesus' forgiveness that humans lack. I grew up in church and other ministry settings with extremely judgemental and harassing individuals whose actions & words didn't have anything to do with God but everything to be controlling, abusive, and rude. I read the Bible on my own to learn that there is no standard to being a Christian nor spiritual person at all no matter what is done and what is going on; I fully take advantage of that knowing I only do online church these days; Thanks to the COVID epidemic and although its over; I, forever, hold a grudge about this knowing I cannot stand in person spiritual interactions at all anymore.
