What Parents Say
Berwick Village Preschool & Daycare receives highly polarized reviews. Five parents praise the facility's safety, cleanliness, staff kindness, and child development outcomes. However, five other parents report serious concerns including non-refunded advance payments, poor communication protocols, inadequate infant care practices, and unresponsive management.
This day care rocks. Great place! Donna and her staff go above and beyond to protect the children in her care. If that means filing reports in the courts to protect the children consider it done. Safety is top notch. Very clean facility. I recommend this facility to all! Don't let 1 bad review change your mind. Theirs alot more to that story then what's being said. All staff is very respectful! Very convenient bus stop. My child enjoys being there during school breaks esp summer breaks with the great play ground area out back!
This is not a place to send your children if your involved in a messy abusive custody battle. Donna filed a harrssment order against me after my daughters father took her out of state to an undisclosed location to according to him sexually abuse her to pay a debt. He claimed the child care facility and his attorney where involved in a child sex trafficking ring. He kept my daughter out of school for over a week. I was denied the right to file a police report as well as a report with D H H S He violated my parental rights by not getting my permission before hand, and because I asked Donna 3 times if she'd heard anything regarding my child I was charged with harrssment. She stated she doesn't want me at her daycare. Terrible place. She's probably going to call the Berwick Maine truency officer on me for posting the truth.
This is the best preschool in the entire area. Very safe and very conscious about where children are at all times as well as who should and shouldn’t be around the school or the children.
My oldest has been attending for 3 months not and absolutely loves it! Ms.Donna is always super kind and respectful. The other staff is also amazing! Since attending there facility my child has learned so much and is thriving! Wonderful, SAFE space for any child! Couldn’t be any happier with our experience there so far!
We had heard such wonderful reviews about Berwick Village and we had done all our research. We were thrilled to find out that they would be accepting infants this summer. We had a horrible experience and only lasted three days. They called me 2 hours after I dropped off my 13 week old son that first day and asked me how to console him. When I came to pick him up there were only negative remarks about how he was so unhappy and they couldn’t have him crying all day. On the third day they called all of our phone numbers without waiting for a response and when they spoke to my husband they said my son had thirty minutes to stop crying or he’d have to be sent home for the day. This was my first week back at work from maternity leave and my first time ever hearing that my son had cried for more than 5 minutes ever in his life. I shutter to think what would have happened if he wasn’t picked up within that 30 minutes. I want to add that when I stated we would not be returning she became very defensive and couldn’t have been faster in ripping my daughters artwork off the walls and gathering my sons belongings. She stated she would refund us our remaining balance, we had paid for the full month. We got a check in the mail for two weeks worth. When I called to inquire about that she stated that I didn’t give her the adaquate time of notice as per the handbook and I should be lucky she didn’t keep more. Those two and a half days of torture cost me $740.
