What Parents Say
Bellingham Childcare & Learning Center receives predominantly positive reviews praising caring, patient staff, individualized child development, outdoor play, and daily parent communication. Most parents report their children thrived academically and socially, though two recent negative reviews cite staff cliques and safety concerns. The center has a waiting list due to its strong reputation.
My son has attended BCLC for over 2 years and we have had a great experience with the teachers and staff. He enjoys going to school and I love that he spends hours outside playing. He has learned and grown so much and I feel confident he will do well when he goes off to kindergarten next year. I really appreciate their communication via the app they use and receiving pictures throughout the day.
Both my boys have been going to BCLC for over a year now. The team at BCLC has been absolutely outstanding since the very first day. My oldest has excelled in learning and in areas where he once struggled. He loves going to preschool each day and will be ready for kindergarten next year! Their approaches are holistic and tailored to the individual needs of each child. The staff is the sweetest, they are patient, welcoming, and the boys love their teachers. I'm so grateful to have found a childcare center like this one!
My son has been attending BCLC for 3 yrs and is ready to go to kindergarten. The staff has been amaizing. They love your child, make sure your child is learning social and emotional skills. I have gotten attached to all his teachers and office staff. I can't rave enough about this place and am very blessed my son was taught and helped raised by such wonderful people. Don't wait they have a waiting list, my son was on it for a year but it's worth the wait.
I cannot express how much this school has changed my view of education in such a short time. I am so grateful for all of the staff and teachers there. The care and love they pour onto our children has no end. They send the most thoughtful photos and updates through the day to the parents, that really helps with any anxiety anyone has in regard to sending their little to school. The time the teachers take to update parents of daily activities so parents can feel connected to their children does not go unnoticed. Its very special and very powerful. Although your child is away from you, you are able to be present and able to communicate with your children when you reunite. I have felt so connected and supported by not only the teacher (Mrs. Becky) but Bobbi, Valerie and all staff I have encountered. They truly make your time their feel like its a family. I am so thankful I had the opportunity to have my daughter at BCLC this year. If you have to wait on a waitlist, do it! I did and it was so, so worth it!
This is truly a wonderful and amazing place! It's extremely hard to get in b/c of it's reputation of excellent care--and I have to agree...it was worth the wait! My son has flourished since he has been at this facility! PROS: *BCLC has access to various therapies (speech, PT, OT) who come to the class and work with your child if needed. *Students from the area schools who come learn and help in the classrooms occasionally. *They provide nutritious and diverse foods * Front desk staff are beyond caring and professional *Clean and organized grounds *Outdoor time is highly encouraged and they have it slightly covered to provide outdoor time year round *Fun after school events for the families Cons: *Expensive (they do have sliding scale options & DSHS options) *Difficult to get in (because of the ridiculous amounts of positives that I don't even have time to list) :) ---If you really want to go in...just keep checking in by calling them weekly/monthly so they can know how much you want to be there. I absolutely LOVE this daycare/learning center!
