What Parents Say
Beacon Day Care receives mixed reviews with strong polarization. Positive reviews praise caring and engaging staff, security measures, and educational activities. Negative reviews raise serious concerns about management practices, billing issues, staff safety incidents, and unprofessional owner conduct.
I just want to share that my grandson son started to go here December 1st and this was by far the best decision we ever made to change daycares and put him into this one . The amount of activities that they do with the kids daily / teaching them / the kindness and love that is shown from the teachers ( especially Miss. Amanda ) is all a grandma and my grandson dad needs to know that my grandson is well taken care of and enjoys it . Knowing when we had a small issue with a billing issue Jodi took care of it right away and got it resolved for us . I love the idea of how secured it is when you go in and that the security is top notch and no worries if your kid is unsafe . If you are looking for a daycare to take your little one I HIGHLY recommend this one . The owners of this daycare truly put their heart and sole into making sure this daycare is top notch .
Beacon is a daycare that you can feel safe and at peace when you drop your child off. The staff is genuinely caring, and amazing. Miss Erin made everyday full of fun learning experiences, and helped bring out my daughter's potential. My daughter absolutely loved going here. She looked forward to getting to hang out with all the staff and the kids. I can't praise this daycare enough. It is full of people that love kids, love teaching, love helping kids learn and grow, in all aspects of their development. I highly recommend Beacon.
Where to even begin? I waited until today to post this review although my son was discharged from beacon's care in august. it took until today to get the refund that I was owed period while my son was in the care of Beacon, he had three separate incidents where he was injured. He was enrolled for less than 2 months. one of those injuries required a trip to the hospital. after being dismissed from the center, I learned that the teacher who was in charge each time my son was injured, had a pending CYS abuse / neglect investigation. He also had an allergic reaction and was not given his medication by the beacon staff. The ownership is absolutely terrible, the staff is irresponsible, they do not follow mask guidelines, and when you bring these issues to the attention of the director and the owner, they blame you. my child was discharged because I care about him too much and I believe the people in charge of my son should be responsible individuals. When I enrolled my son at a different center in the area, it was like an entirely different world. At the daycare center we attend now the staff all wear masks, they send home a daily report, have educational reviews, they have parent-teacher conferences twice a year, and are extremely professional. all of the staff at my new center has a relevant degree in childhood education, child development, etc. If you don't care who watches your kid and you're just looking for any random adult to be present while you leave your child in their care, then maybe Beacon is right for you. If you care about your child and value their education, do yourself a favor and find a real daycare center.
Let me start by saying how incredible the teachers and caretakers are. You won't find more caring individuals and we're extremely happy with the employees that work with the children However, management of this facility is awful enough to warrant a 1 star rating on this facility. This facility was closed for 2 weeks in January of 2022 due to COVID yet charged all parents the full 2 weeks of their contracted amount, despite the fact that no care was provided, nor were there any updates about re-opening after the initial closure communication. Management has yet to respond to any of my questions about these charges (I've been trying to talk to them about it for several months). All "official" communications from them have contained strong tones of being the victim in situations such as price increases or receiving complaints that they're going to stop providing lunches. From a customer standpoint, it seems the only people that care for the kids are the teachers who watch them. Management only cares about lining their pockets at the parents' expense. If you can take your child elsewhere, I suggest you do so as not to support the greed at the top of this business.
I brought my son here to beacon daycare for a total of 7 days the staff was nice to me and my son but the ownership was as bad as you’ll ever find in the daycare business, he’s is rude and not fit to own and operate an establishment that deals with baby’s and children, I dropped my son off and came outside only to find the owner illegally entering my car and when I confronted him in the parking lot he told me it was illegal to have your car running I replyed by saying I didn’t know and I told him to stay out of my vehicle, and I left only to get a phone call telling me to pick up my child that he’s not welcome there anymore, and I returned to pick him up and the owner hid in the back room from me and I walked back and asked for a refund because I paid ahead and he told me that he would “check with accounting” and told me to leave the building. There are no signs on the building about leaving your car run anywhere. This guy will probably not pay me back due to the fact he didn’t want to refund me then. Warning DO NOT TAKE Your KIDS Here!! Inconsiderate owner that only cares about about being paid!! If he treated me like this to my face imagine how he’s going to treat your kids when you’re not watching
